I had the ultrasound

So my right boob is a mess, probably all related to that dumb blister. The ducts are all enlarged and lost their elasticity, almost 1/4of them, and they have pockets which will keep collecting milk and fat and cause blockages. He said I probably end up with mastitis by the time this is through but I could be fine. The hard lump is an entangled mess of swollen ducts!

He also checked my left boob which is the one that has recurrent clogs, actually had a big one this morning, which he cleared but numbing it and then using a needle and sucking it out. But now it hurts like crazy and there is a red welt from the needles going in and its tender all the way through. He said this side looked pretty good considering.

I have to keep taking taking the antibiotics and nursing and keeping the blister clean and hopefully I'll feel better by Tues, if not I can go back in.

 

ouch to everything you just said! i've been thinking about you all day. i really hope you get better soon! "happy birthday, let me poke this needle in your boob..." teehee ( i know, not funny... )

 

Ouch! I am so sorry. That is not a great way to celebrate your birthday. I am happy to hear that it isn't something more "serious"- even though this isn't a minor annoyance....

Honestly, this makes me so mad for you. As if you have time to deal with this as you are trying to raise twins and BF them all on your own. This is supposed to be easier. I'm sorry it's happening. You are such a trooper for sticking with it. Please PLEASE take care of yourself first Nichole. PM me if I can do anything at all for you.

 

Oh my goodness, OUCH! I'm so sorry. And on your birthday?! I hope you feel better ASAP, like tonight! I hope they gave you some pain meds.

I have been taking tylenol for the pain, and am still on those dreadful antibiotics that are totally messing up my belly so hopefully that will buy me some time to heal.
I think I definitely need to find a way to get my supply to level off and hopefully that will prevent some clogging. I have always overproduced it seems. I dont want to dry up but I dont want to be this full all the time either. Any suggestions?
