I had my surprise baby shower yesterday!

My in laws threw me a surprise baby shower yesterday! I was very surprised since they all drove 3.5 hours to bring the shower to me. I knew my parents were coming for the weekend, but I had no idea the rest of our families and friends were coming. They all showed up at my house at the same time and brought the party with them. They set everything up in 10 minutes while I was still in shock. I was really happy since I didn't think I was going to have a shower at all since I had a huge one for my son. Besides the fact that we did have a few issues (car accident in my driveway between my SIL and DH's cousin, my son falling down the garage stairs and hitting his head on concrete, my mother being her normal ridiculous self), everything was great. I did however get a ridiculous amount of PJs. My SIL kept asking me what I need and I told her I had a registry plus I needed some winter clothes and instead she told everyone I needed PJs. I think at least 3/4 of the people got me PJs! I guess that is just what they are going to wear!

 

Good for you!! I hope your son is OK after the fall. Besides that it sounds like a good time

That is pretty funny about all the PJ's ~ :laughing:
All my babies wore for the first few months was PJ's so I ended up being really glad I had so many of them!

My favorite quote about families is from The Simpsons (and DEFINITELY applies to mine): "My family puts the FUN in dysFUNctional." Do you plan to exchange some PJs for some stuff you really want/need, or do you think you will be keeping all of them?

That is a great quote and definitely true for my family! I'm taking it easy today, but tomorrow's project will be to sort through all the pjs with the ones I still have from Ryan and see if I have too many of one size. If so, I'll try to exchange them for different sizes or other clothes.

Ryan is okay. Thanks for asking. He had a huge knot on his head the day it happened, but it doesn't even look that bad now.
