Today I was craving a cheese burger and cheesy tots. HAD TO HAVE IT! I mean that burger was haunting my every thought! So I hopped into the car and went off to Burger King. It was after 12 so I figured I missed the lunch rush, but when I got there the line was nearly out of the parking lot. Still undeterred I pulled my vehicle into line and waited...I could taste the hot juicy flame broiled goodness as I got closer. OHHH boy only one car in front of me when........... the car at the speaker pulled up, out of nowhere a car zips in front of the car ahead of me. OHHH NOOOO SHE DID NOT! I was steamed and laid on my horn like a crazy person, then somewhere deep down in the pits of my burger desperation something clicked. Before I knew it I had junped out of my car a ran ( OK I waddled) up to the line jumpers car and stuck my head in their window. "Excuse me but did you notice that YOU JUST CUT THE LINE??? I have been waiting for 10 minutes and I am hungry what is your problem do you think you OWN this place?" :catfight: The lady inside then gave me an attitude saying she turned in from the side and there was nothing wrong with what she did so I better go get back in my car before she called the police. By this time I realized I was being irrational so :escape: back to my car I waddled. But as I got in I see her laugh in her rear view mirror :diablo: So I laid on the horn incessantly the whole time she tried to order. I know it was wrong and I accomplished nothing but boy did I feel a little better.

OMG! You are me! I would have done the same exact thing! Patience is a rare commodity while pregnant ... ahha ... and things that might not normally upset you THAT much can drive you over the edge!

We were at Sesame Place last weekend with the kids and a woman stood directly in front of me during the parade and I was LIVID! I had my little motorized scooter parked perfectly, and she just walked right in front of me and stopped. DH knew how annoyed I was ... but I wasn't really in good fighting condition ... haha

LOL. Irrational or not I would have told her to go right ahead and give them a call. I would have also waddled up right to the speaker and placed my order before she got a chance. Accomplish anything? Probably not, but would have me feel better. :)

I have been craving Burger King also...I like the whopper jr. w/cheese and fries with the orange cream & coke freeze! I had it today...fresh and hot!!! But that was so ignorant and selfish and inconsiderate what that lady did to you. Sorry that she did that to you!

That is horrible what she did to u! Quite honestly i think you were nicer than i would've been, WTG! I honestly think the police officer would've been on your side (always side with the prego lady). I've had a thing for chicken fries this pregnancy, the joys of burger king.

I LOVE IT!!! Oh, I woulda been ticked, too.... I'm not sure I woulda waddled up there, but I definitely woulda held that horn down until she was out of sight!!!

I had a "moment" at Wendy's not long ago... I was craving their baked potato with chili (weird, I know) in a hugely obsessive way... so we go to the drive thru, order and when we get to the window the worker says, "Sorry, we are out of baked potatoes... but we can substitute a salad." "UMMMM...NO.... I don't want a salad, I want a baked potato." The worker wasn't sure how to reply... she then offered me fries... again, "I WANTED A BAKED POTATO...NOT A SALAD OR FRIES!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE OUT OF POTATOES WHEN WE ORDERED????"

My DP politely said, "She'll take the fries" and she paid and got the heck out of there before the situation got physical... :) I asked her if I was wrong in this situation and she said, "Well, there's really nothing we can do about it. They are out of potatoes." Looking back I have to laugh...but at the time I was LIVID!!!

I cannot believe that the lady laughed at you.... obviously she had never been pregnant before. I would have said, Oh I'm sorry, go ahead. She will have it coming to her one day and she will remember that!

Thanks for the laugh, that is a story you will live to tell many years after you are not preggo. My oldest dd has an episode like that on me. When she was 3 she pooped in my brand new rocking chair I had a complete melt down. I have totally been there!

IM glad Im not the only one. When I was pregnant with the twins, I was in McDonalds drive through on my way to work none the less. Long story short I got my food, cried all the way to work and then had DH bring me something else because he was convinced after the story I had told him about my behavior that they probably did something terrible to my food.

Ive never wanted to grab a girl by the ponytail and smash her face into a cash register as bad as I did that day :) nuff said!

ETA: I had to read your story to DH, he wanted to know "what city was that in?" because of course Im wondering " what the heck is wrong with people!!!

OMG i would have had that woman! You think after she saw that you were clearly heavily pregnant she would have apologised at least or maybe moved out the way. But to laugh at you!! That would have sent me loopy too! Some people are so rude x

ROFLMBO!!! I probably would have done the same thing, although I may have just forgone my burger to follow her for a while just so I could cut her off or get in line somewhere else in front of her...ok so maybe I would have only wanted to do that last part LOL! What a jerk! People can be sooooo rude you have to wonder what they're thinking when they do those things!

You're a good girl cause I would have cussed her out BADLY!!! You go MAMA!! Dont take no stuff!

My friend says that pregnant women should be quarantined. I have been trying to fight people for the past couple of months. Last month I nearly got into a scuffle with two drunk girls who tried to steal my taxi (London black cab) outside a restaurant in the middle of the night. I was waiting by the driver door for the rest of my group and they tried to sneak into the backdoor (after I had already claimed the car and it was waiting on the meter for me). I leaned in and told them, "Didnt I already tell you that I have this cab?!" I then used my shoulders and huge belly to push them backwards out of the car. I didnt notice my husband's friend was standing behind me. When we finally got in the car, he told my husband, "why did I come outside and find your 5'0 tall pregnant wife trying to fight two women." My husband's response, "Sigh. I am not surprised." :p

OHH I hate substitutions!!!! I would have been livid too!! I had an argument with a lady at the Red Roof Inn in San Antonio when I was about 4 months. We were in town for a wedding and the bed was so uncomfortable. I called the front desk for an extra pillow and they told me I could come get it at the front desk. That steamed me up a bit. but DP in all her supportive glory went to get it for me. When she got back she had a blanket under her arm WT?? Her first words "Now...baby don't get upset, they are out of pillows but they sent you this." She extends the ratty blanket and cringes.
I took it, charged out of the room and threw it back on the desk. "I am not cold! I am uncomfortable! I WANT A PILLOW!!"
"Ma'am we're out." .... long story short I tok a throw pillow off the sofa in the lobby to put against my back and never will I stay there again!
