Just wanted to share my update....

On Saturday I finally gave in and called the dr after days of contractions. They were about 10 mintues apart and I was having alot more cramping and just needed piece of mind. Of course, they wanted me to come in and get monitored at the hospital since it was the weekend. So, DH and I headed to the hospital. They did a FFN, ran an IV, and checked my urine after hooking me up to the 2 fetal monitors and the contraction monitor. They were picking up my contractions about every 8-12 minutes. My urine looked good, and my FFN came back neg, which is good. So they asked me after 4 hours if I was comfortable going home, and of course I was. We came home, took some PM and passed out. Sunday I did nothing but sit on the couch and be lazy and I did feel alot better.

Monday I went to my 32 week appt at my OB. The babies looked good, both head down, and my cervix is closed but soft. Good news, the goal is to get to next Friday (34 weeks) as in less than 2 weeks!! That makes it sound so soon. Between my OB and my specialists they basically agree that at 34 weeks there is less risk letting them come than there is trying to stop them. At this point the dr said that my body is ready (I am measuring 41.5 weeks) but the babies aren't, so there is a tug of war. Right now the babies are winning! :)

Today I went to see my specialists and the babies are just under 5 lbs, in the 82nd percentile!! Based on their growth curve they are extimated to be around 7 lbs each at 36 weeks. Holy Cow!

Unfortunately they wont take them by scheduled csection until 38 weeks unless something happens between now and then, but the drs said based on my previous section and the contractions there is no way I will make it. Either way, the thought of being pregnant for 5.5 more weeks freaks me out. I am huge, only 5'2 and very petite! Without a crystal ball it is hard to say, but every doctor has agreed that making it to 34 weeks would be a great goal. Don't get me wrong, I dont want them to come too early, so 34 weeks is not my goal! I would feel most comfortable having them between 35-36 weeks, Aug 7th-14th. So here is hoping they dont try to pull an Aidan (my DS) and get to comfortable. He was induced 10 days late! :)

 for cookin' those babies!! Great accomplishment. I hope you prove your doctors wrong and keep them in there for a bit longer! I know they gave you estimated birth weights, but often they are off by a pound (or two, like in my case) going either way.

Good luck to you mama. I know its such a conflict -- you want them out but you want them to stay!! Sounds like your body will decide for you. Hope they last but I understand about being oversized for your height. I'm 5'0 and not yet 27 weeks and all of a sudden my belly got HUGE this week. I cant imagine that I have another 9 weeks or so to go before I hit 36 weeks. Like you my doctor will be happy if I make it to 34.
