I guess I belong here now

We pondered and pondered the ideal time to add a third and decided to go for it since our girls were turning two - which would make them close to 3 when their sibling arrived. So here I am. Hoping there is only one in there. How soon did you guys find out how many were in there this time around? I am thinking only one because my twins are ID and the chances of that happening again are pretty slim, but I just want to know. I know its early and I am in the high risk for miscarriage period but I figured I'd put out the word because I can never keep anything to myself!

 

Congrats! I had an US at about 6 weeks this time around, and it is just one. I booked one because at the time I didn't know my LMP and I needed a due date ASAP so I could get a midwife.

Congrats and welcome I had a "dating" u/s at 10wks to see how many and give me a due date since my periods are weird. Only one

 

Congratulations!! My girls are ID too so I wasn't too concerned about it being twins again either. I had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks and there was only one. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy/baby!

Congratulations! I found out at my 10 week ultrasound that we were expecting one baby. It was torture waiting that long, but that was my new doctor's policy. They usually waited until 11 or 12 weeks, but I talked them into doing it at 10 weeks since I had had twins only 6 months before. I needed to know!

 

Congrats. I had an u/s around 9 weeks this time...but some docs don't do it until 12 weeks...the ob I saw my twins with didn't do u/s until 12 weeks, so that's when I found out I was having twins with them!

 

Thanks! I guess I will probably have to wait until at least 9 weeks because that was how long i waited with the twins. I had an early 5 wk u/s with them and they only saw a sac so I guess its pointless to even ask for a few weeks. I am pretty sure its only one because I have almost no symptoms other than round ligament pain. With the twins I was so bloated and breaking out like a teenager before I even had a positive pg test. Probably because the hormones were through the roof. I emailed my OB anyways to see when she could take a look.

 

Congrats!! They did our u/s at 7 weeks this time because of very high hcg levels (they were high even for triplets) and also because of irregular periods. Sure enough - twins again! Best of luck for a long, healthy pregnancy!!

 

Congrats! I will be right there with you ... my ID girls are almost 2.5 and the new baby will be here in 3 weeks. I think if the girls were 3, it would be a lot easier on me. They are still really dependant on me (they CAN do most things by themselves ... the issue is whether or not they WILL =) and it has been hard lugging them around (they are "hold me" carry me" "mommy do it" kind of girls) these last few months of getting bigger and more uncomfortable. I had an US at 8 weeks where they determined there was only one. And yes, even though mine are ID, I still "worried" about twins again I love having twins, but man, I didn't know if I could do it again!! I have had 3 other US since ... and still, only one =) Good luck to you and know that if you are slightly terrified ... you aren't the only one I'm 50/50 excited and scared silly
