I got my DNA results back

They are Identical. We were pretty sure they were since we were told during my pregnancy that they shared a placenta. But they look different sometimes. I'm going to have my older ones tested now. Has anyone done the test and been told that theirs werent ID?

 

MY DH and I have joked about having ours tested. Yes I know they are a boy and girl just to see if they actually say that twins are NT identical. I have yet to see any one's DNA come back with a no about being identical.

 

that's a funny idea. I do wonder. I did call yesterday and without them even asking for my name or order info the guy said I'd have my relsults this afternoon. Do they check your caller ID or something?

Very cool! How wonderful to be blessed with 2 sets! Did your older girls share a placenta? Do they look very much alike?

 

I was wondering the same thing about anyone having "fraternal" results. My situation is opposite. We have identical girls that had TTTS but sometimes I really have to wonder if they are identical. They look NOTHING alike to me. DH and I joke and say they are "fradentical".

I think that the results are always ID because frats generally look different enough that you don't need a test.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. My older girls look almost exactly alike too, I was always told by the Dr they were Frats but I really do wonder. I guess I'm testing them now.

 

Congrats on finding out! How do you feel about finding out that they are ID? I felt elated!
