I got a mother's ring, does that mean no more?

My dh got me a mother's ring for Mother's day. I absolutely love it. It has 2 rubies on each side and and emerald in the middle (mine). But does this mean that DH REALLY doesn't want anymore kids?
When we first got married, we always said that we wanted 2, but since we got those the first go round, I have kind of been thinking that maybe we would try again... Guess he doesn't want to

It's probably not the case unless you have specifically talked about it. :) And if you do have a 3rd...now you can get another ring :)

I've heard of Mothers getting rings for each baby (or babies in the case of twins). It wouldn't hurt to talk to him about it in the future.

If you have another you can get the stones reset in another ring, or maybe have a jeweler add another stone to the one you have. I bet your Dh just thought it would be a lovely gift for mother's day (and it is!!)

You can always add another stone to those! Im sure thats not the case...your DH was really thinking about you and thats so wonderful...Im not sure if guys are that crafty to give you the hint that way...

I would talk to him and see what he says...We said the same thing...only 2...but now after the twins, we could not imagine having another one...but that was only after it was discussed...it was never assumed. Good luck with the converstation. Tell him the mothers ring got you thinking...but I wouldnt accuse him of anything..

    HTH!

What a fun gift! I agree with the other posts - you can always add more stones to the ring later.
And...I can relate to your sentiment about possibly wanting more kids - I didn't anticipate getting the two I wanted in the first go around either!

Brandy, I have to agree with this...men don't go into the meanings of things like we do(at least most! No offense guys!). We take it as a hint that they want no more kids, and really the thought probably never even crossed his mind when he was picking it out!!

Great present! I have a heart charm necklace with all of my kids birthstones! I love it!

Brandy, nice gift! I agree with everyone else. I don't think he meant that and remember, another baby is a good excuse to add a stone! How about an April baby and a diamond???? ;)
