Just had to share this recent discovery. The boys love puffs, and at this point they're good enough with their fingers that they just shovel big handfuls. Not that I have anything against puffs, but if they're going to be eating anything in quantity, I'd rather it have some nutritional value.

We just discovered these "Crispy" fruits (apples, peaches etc.). It's freeze-dried fruit and nothing else, but the way they dry it makes the texture perfect for babies. They're just like puffs in that they crunch and then *immediately* melt. You have to break up the pieces a little, but then they make perfect finger food! Only downside is that they're a little pricey.

Here's the company website: Crispy Green

Wow, what a great find! We're not on finger foods yet, but this definitely looks like a good alternative to puffs! @
    Thanks Tracy!

I never thought about the fact that freeze dried would melt in their mouths. I will have to see if I can find the costco version...

Thanks for the tips!! I am looking for more variety for the boys.

I was going to mention this as well! My babies love the ones from Costco! They dissolve really easily.
