My mom was just here visiting for 2 weeks. Everyday she was here she got up with the babies (wahoo!!) anyways, one morning she was making their breakfast when I got up.

She peeled & chopped an apple. Put stick butter in a pan, melted it, added the apples and a tablespoon of cinammon. she cooked them till soft.

The babies LOVED THEM!!!! So now we use them as a breakfast fruit and sometimes as an after dinner dessert :)

Just had to share as I know finger foods are challenging in the 1st year!

I leave out the butter and just peel the apple, cut in chunks and sprinkle cinnamon and put in the microwave for a minute or until soft and give this to the girls. Probably their favorite snack!

We do butter because DD is a skinny mini and we are trying to fatten her up :) Anyway we can sneak it in, is good for us becaues Ive fed her plain things all her life so she kinda makes a face with butter LOL

I tried it... DD loves it, and DS was putting some in his mouth, munching it for 10 seconds and spitting it out, lol. Picky boy.

I made them last night and they LOVED them! We used butter, as I have a tiny one that needs to be fattened up as well. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you for the suggestion. I put mine in a saucepan with some heated up apple juice and cinnamon and cooked until soft. They loved it.
