This is what a cashier said to my dh today about the twins. I was not feeling well today and he decided to take them for a walk. He decided to go to the local dollar store and get a drink. As he was checking out the cashier said "I'm so sorry, two at once" My dh didn't say anything to her  Dh said the girls were being good too. Not sure which one I am more angry about. My girls are 2.5, why you would say that to a toddler boggles my mind, and then their father doesn't say anything in their defense. I asked him why he didn't say anything and his response to me was "I'm so use to hearing it that it doesn't bother me" I told him that I don't care how many times he has heard it, that the girls are getting old enough now to understand what people are saying and he needs to start stepping up to the plate. I have had people say that to me and I do correct them and let them know that it is not right to say that to any parent and especially in front of the children.. I am so

ooooo that makes me steamed. I'm sorry your girls had to hear that. People are dumb. I hope your DH has a good response ready for the next time that happens.

<_< <_< How rude! I'm sorry that your girls had to hear that. :( I think people have the wrong impression about twins... especially about toddler twins. I don't think my husband would have said anything either. But I would have. :diablo:

Wow, that was really rude. What an awful thing to say to someone. I'm sorry your DH didn't speak up in your girl's defense. I'd like to think my DH would say something, but I don't know that he would have either.

People just don't get what they are saying sometimes. We hear it all the time and I never have the appropriate zinger to respond with.

Any suggestions?!?! I would love to be able to say something nice, but completely insulting (that the kids don't understand).
