[SIZE=10pt]We went to a Harvest Festival last night for our local moms of multiples club. We had a great time, however Peyton was getting kinda cranky. I knew that he was tired as he didn't get his full nap in earlier (Alexis likes to play during nap time a lot lately <_< )

We put them to bed and about an hour later Peyton was a little fussy. I didn't go in and check on him as he does this from time to time. About an hour later, same thing. I waited about 5 minutes and he was back asleep. Around midnight...same thing ~ awake for 5-6 minute then back to sleep.

Fast forward to this morning. I hear them on the monitor ~ talking/playing. I go in their room and am blown away by the smell of vomit. Poor little guy had thrown up, who knows how many times, and had to sleep in it. All because I didn't go in there and check on him :(

How do you know when to go in and when not to? I felt so bad for him. He still seems a little out of it this morning, but has been playing with his sister here and there. Hopefully it was just a little bug and will be gone soon.

    April :)

Don't feel bad, stuff like that happens. Several times when my grandsons were little and I was babysitting at night, they would take forever to calm down and go to sleep. I would even go in and talk to them and lay them back down. Invariably when my daughter got home and she would go in to check them, one or the other would have pooped, which is why he had problems getting to sleep. But either I didn't smell it, or just didn't go in thinking it would make things worse. I always felt really bad for them and stupid about myself.

I probably would have done the same thing. It's unusual for my girls to wake up, so my rule is if they wake up twice, I go in because I know something is probably wrong.

I hope it's a quick thing and he feels better soon!!

I probably would have done the same thing. I actually have :) It's only happened once or twice that I remember. Hope he's feeling better now.

Just did the same thing with our youngest. He fussed for about 5 minutes and then back to sleep so I didn't go in and there was puke all over in the morning. The next night, one of the twins was crying so I went in there and it stunk of puke. The OTHER one had puked but slept through it so I cleaned as much as I could without disturbing him too much. They were all better within 2 days so I'm sure he's on the upswing! I know I felt awful too but I would've done the exact same thing as you!!!
