I feel so bad

I have had heart burn/acid reflux for a while now and it has never been as bad as it was today.. It usually is the worst at night and will most of the time make me puke in the morning or at night (all stomach acid) it is pretty painful. Today I had a Ob appt. and he could barely do the U/S because I had heart burn sooo bad I felt like I was going to puke or die!! He had to rush through it and I didn't even get to see my boys which I love! He said everything looked good and told me to try Maalox.

I than had my NST appt and they could barely get the heart beats and I had to stop early because it was tooo painful..It has never been this bad before and I don't have that good, ahhhh everything is ok, feeling like I normally do after my appts. because I rushed through them so much.. Man I feel bad, but on the lighter side Maalox seems to be working pretty well anyone else ever use it before?

I use Tums and they seem to work for me.
I hope that Maaylox does the trick for you!

 

UGH! what a bummer!! I remember all too well how that felt & it was ROUGH!
Malox and Tums worked like a charm though - so long as I kept up on it.
When I ended up in L&D a few times they also gave me a prescription that worked really really well.
I hope you feel better soon!

 

Sorry you don't have "that" feeling and you felt rushed. :hug99: Maalox and Tums is what helped me somewhat with my acid reflux, I hope it helps you as well Momma.

I got a script for Nexium and as long I as take it everyday it has worked wonders for me. I never used Maalox but I know in my last 2 singleton pregnancies that Tums just didn't work once I got so far and I was eating them all of the time.

 

Bless your heart!! I am sorry! I never had to use anything for it my heartburn was pretty mild I cannot imagine having it as bad as you do!!

The Tums has totally stopped working for me. My midwife and peri both suggest Zantac, and it seems to work well for me. It's better if I take it before the heartburn starts...it takes a little while to kick in.

 

Same here, zantac and tums have been my saving grace. Sometimes I will still get heartburn but not as nearly as bad as it was. I eat tums more for the calcium now.
