Hi there, I'm almost 27 weeks pregnant and notice that I feel one of my twins kick & move around A LOT more than the other one. Actually some days I don't even feel the other one at all. I had an ultrasound yesterday and both were measured fine for height & weight and had good heartbeats. And on the ultrasound Baby B (the one that I don't feel move hardly at all) was moving all around, opening his mouth & closing it...arms all over the place. I didn't mention this to the doctor b/c before yesterday when I saw their positions, I didn't realize who was who... But now I know that Baby A is head down, on my right side and Baby B is breech, on my left.

Does or did anyone else have this? Is this normal?

My baby B was always much more active than my baby A. Part of it was probably due to their position. When I started my NST's at 32 weeks, B was still more active, but I was able to see strong heart beat fluctuations in A. This showed that he was moving almost as much, I just wasn't feeling the same intensity. I would say it is completely normal.

It sounds normal to me. I feel my baby A a lot less than my Baby B. A is breech and she's so low, that I guess i don't notice her moving as much. B is transverse/vertex right across the top of my belly and I can feel, and see every move he makes! Every time I have an ultrasound both babies are very active, but a lot of the time I can't even feel A (she's also very small). One thing I do when I get worried is lay completely still on the couch and drink/eat something sweet...that ususally gets them both moving where I can feel it.

One more thing, my baby A (the one I didn't feel as much) was also breech. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I also felt baby B way more than baby A. He was bigger, so Im not sure if that had anything to do with it..I was thinking that his movements may have been a little stronger b/c he was a little bigger. ? ;)

Okay you all make me feel better! My Baby A is bigger than Baby B (by about 4 oz.) and he's the one I feel the most. Maybe that is the reason. However, Baby B is Head Down while Baby B is breech- yet I still feel A a lot more. ANyway, as long as it's normal for a lot of people that makes me feel a lot better.

Sometimes it depends on the position of the placenta. I couldn't fee my baby A move a lot and it turned out his placenta was between him and the front of my belly. He would have had to have kicked very hard for me to feel him.

I always felt Baby A way more than Baby B. Like you, I would only see how much he was actually moving when I had US. I would obsess a little, and use my home doppler to pick up his heartbeat to make sure he was ok!! A lot of it had to do with his position, and the position of his placenta.

Completely normal--or at least it was for me. For me it was my baby B--which is my dear sweet Allison. She always kicked and moved about while baby A--Sarah--never moved. To this day that still matches their personality. Sarah is my laid back "take it as it comes" child, while Allison is my "mover and shaker". It's so funny how their personality in the womb is to the T their personality to this day.

it was the opposite for me. I hardly ever felt a and constantly felt b.

3 years later, baby A-Amelia is a slow moving sweet child who is just as gentle as can be. Baby B- AKA Kyle the nightmare has never stopped moving, (did you hear about his visit to our roof? )

totally normal. Very often they are kicking each other and buffering us form the sensation. no worries!

It's the exact same here. I always feel Baby A's kicks & movements much more than Baby B's. They are both measuring about the same (2 oz. difference). It's funny b/c my boys are in the same position as your babies. Baby A--head down on the right--feel tons of movement going on. Baby B--Breech on my left---only feel movements every now & then, definitely not as much as Baby A. I would worry more if I didn't just have an U/S & know they are both doing good.

I rarely felt my baby B. She was up way high and lodged somewhat under my ribs. I always worried about her because I'd feel baby A all the time, but her positioning was bad. I did see on the u/s's that she was fine, so I tried not to worry to much.

I always felt baby B and not A that much because she was kind of under him and I would only feel her if he kicked her hard enough. I felt her (baby A) more towards the end because she had hiccups several times a day but that was really the only way.

Sounds normal to me. My baby A moves so much more than baby B!! I just wait it out and B will have his moments

My girls were transverse and I could almost never feel Jessy who was on top but she had problems with cord flow so that could have added to it
