I fail my glucose test

    UGH! I was hoping to pass it! I fail by 10 points and will be off to take the 3 hour tomorrow.

    Did any of you fail? Did you do anything different the night before the 3 hour? I am so worried about failing the 3 hour.

    I also failed my screening, and didn't do anything special the night before except I actually cooked my own healthy dinner. I passed the second test.. and you very well might too! Good luck!

    If it was only 10 pts, you might just pass the 3hr. Don't worry and don't do anything different... but don't indulge in brownies either.

    Hi there, I failed the 1 and 3 hour tests. I had gestational diabetes. Just follow the instructions they gave you about fasting. Hopefully you will pass and be just fine. If not, then you really want to have it diagnosed so you and your babies can be treated appropriately. I had to eat a strict diet, but I didn't need insulin. My diabetes went away after the pregnancy.
    The good news is because I couldn't eat a lot of junk--I didn't gain too much weight for a twin pregnancy! :p

    I failed the 1 hour and I have an apt. on Monday to do the 3 hour which I am dreading.... The thought of sitting in a lab for one hour was daunting enough never mind 3 hours, but hopefully we both pass :D

    My ob told me to fast before the test but for a couple days prior to the test try to get in a good amount of carbs.

    I failed the 3 hour. Going to see the nutrition about my new diet this week.

    Thanks for letting us know. Sorry to hear about the GD. You will be in good hands and they will give you good info for the new diet. It will help keep you and your babies healthy :)

    Sorry about your failed 3hr test but at least you are in good hand and just follow the diet and everything would be fine.
