I've been feeling the baby itch lately and thought I would want to try for a 3rd at some point but I've been thinking over the past couple days and I just don't think I can do it....mentally and physically. I am 34 1/2 and I feel like I am 80! My body hurts, I am miserable a lot of the time and I don't think I could go through the sleep deprivation again! I guess I need to be thankful for my two beautiful girls and just spoil them rotten!! [IMG]

I wouldn't give up just yet... in about a year, re-think it... they are still just 5 months, so you are still feeling all the exhuastion of new babies...

I think I would atleast keep it in mind until age 38.

I have been feeling the same way. When the girls were about 6 1/2 months I started thinking one more would be nice. Now they are all over the place and one of them has been having trouble sleeping at night. At this point, I think I would freak if I got pregnant! I just turned 37, so I definitely don't have the kind of time you do!

I can't wait to get pregnant again! It took IVF for us to get our girls, and we have 6 frosties waiting for us. We're going to talk to the doctor in February about getting pregnant again this summer! Maybe I'm crazy?! [IMG]

Give yourself some time. I got baby-fever when my now 4 year old was 2.
I also have an 8 year old. I know now I am DONE. You are still at one of the hardest points, when things get a bit easier you may change your mind. [IMG]

My twins are # 2 and 3 for us. I had just turned 44 when they were born. You have plenty of time to decide.

You might want to wait until they're 2 or so to decide whether you want to have #3. [IMG]

Haha! We weren't ready for 12 years! It took that long to firmly decide we wanted more. Not that my DD is any trouble; she's fantastic. That was part of our dillema... "Will the next be as good as the first??"

Anyway, wait a while - you might change your mind.
    35 is still young!!

Kelly, give yourself some time. 34 is not that old sweetie and you feel awful right now because you are so sleep deprived but eventually that will get better. I had all but forgotten what it was like with my first by the time we had the twins. You still have many years left to get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy. Give it a revisit in 2 years. I agree with kysweatheart, wait awhile because it does get better.

I Agree, Wait until the twins are a/b 2yrs then rethink it. We had Kayla (9), Hannah (7) and it took us 7 years to try for a third, we kept going back and forth b/c we were in the 'comfort zone'. Finally I decided we would never regret having another child...but I might regret NOT having another one...so we gave it a shot....little did we know we'd have 3 AND 4 [IMG]

My twins were numbers 3 and 4 for us. I bet it's got to be a bit of a shock to have them first. We want at least one more. If it was just one next time, it seems like it would be suck a breeze. Twins are a lot of work, but definately worth it. Think that just one baby wouldn't be as much work in the beginning.

I've heard from a lot of peole that it was harder to go from 1 to 2 kids than 3,4, etc.

If you have the baby itch, you're probably going to want to have another one. I think that most people know when they're done without a doubt.

Good luck to your family whatever you decide.
