My boys are almost 4. with the suggestion of my pedi not to push them, I waited. And Waited. They finally showed readiness sigs in July. So, me and DH went for it and started. Okay Its OCTOBER!!!!!!

    They were doing ok....but NOW!!!

    The Pee on the floor.

They poop in thier pants, and then hide them

My house smells like urine and crap!!

The REFUSE to sit for poop. Sean only does it on a little potty.

    I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

Rewards, encouragments, frequntly asking, no pants, underpants, pull ups....etc.

ALL I do is clean up CRAP!!! And its gross and nasty and it smells like the adult poop it is!!!!

I cant handle this anymore. Its been 3 months.

I am now taking things away. They KNOW what to do....done it millions of times...yet still decide to go in thier pants...WHY??

Im just done with this whole mess. This is rediculous!!

I am sorry that they aren't potty training for you and that they seem to be fighting it or not trying.
My one daughter refused to poop in the big potty for a long time and only used the small one which was fine for me since she wasn't going in her pants. My other daughter pooped in her pants all the time and wouldn't use the potty for that and made herself constipated which was a long battle for us. I can't help with the peeing in the potty but I have heard that kids are scared to poop on the big potty because they don't like the splash that is made when the poop hits the water so it might take longer for them to want to poop on the big potty. For me when my one daughter kept peeing in her pants and only going on the potty once in a while I stopped training her and then on her 3rd birthday she just stated that she no longer wants to wear diapers anymore and wanted to wear panties. She has had very few accidents since she said that. I know your boys are older so it's a little more frustrating and I'm sorry I can't offer you any good advice.

    (((HUGS)))

Im so sorry this is so hard for you. I feared it would be this way with the boys and didnt ever want to start potty training.

The one week in August they both pretty much potty trained themselves. I hope they train soon for you.

    Lots and lots of hugs!!!

I am having the same difficulties with my almost 4 year old singleton boy! I can only imagine having TWO boys doing the same thing! It is so frustrating! I also have tried EVERYTHING with my son and can't get him trained! He thinks it is funny to pee and poop in his underwear. . .He tells me "Don't worry mommy. I will go on the potty soon!" UGGHH! I don't know what else to do! I think he will be going to the PROM in diapers! Thankfully I have b/g twins so I am hoping it won't be as hard, but I just might be jinxing myself! I feel your pain and send lots of ((HUGS)) your way!

I'm right there with you. I never realized what an undertaking it would be potty training 2 boys.

All I can offer you is my sympathies and a huge...

Well if it makes you feel any better, I am inspired by your post! You've already tried everything that I could possible imagine trying. And sometimes while I'm imagining all the things I could try I end up thinking in the end that maybe we better just lay back and let them figure it out for themselves and decide to use the toilet when they want to. We have sort of gone back and forth and back again with the whole toilet thing, nothing particularly consistently, and nothing particularly seriously, so it seems that it basically is in their control anyway. Good luck to them (my boys and yours!). I'll keep my fingers crossed though that it'll happen by next summer and will be happy to save any money on diapers if it occurs beforehand! /Joel

When my boys have accidents I tell them they have to wear a baby diaper and that only big boys get to wear big boy underpants. They don't get any extra special things until they go on the potty. The worst part for them is if one has an accident the other one scolds him... even if the other one had an accident not even 2 minutes earlier.
