Just wanted to share today's milestone.... I took the boys out to run some errands this morning all by myself (like a big girl)!! It wasn't as difficult as I thought, and we didn't even get ogled a ton (thankfully). We even made TWO stops - BRU and Target. I was a bit embarassed because I couldn't remember how to collapse the SNG to put it back in my trunk! I'm sure I looked really cool in the parking lot of BRU trying to figure it out. B) I'm even planning a trip tomorrow to Wal-Mart. Oh the excitement of it all!

So, for all you other new mommies out there - you can do it too!!

    woo-hoo! Good job mama!

Now that you've tasted freedom, I bet you'll be going out a lot more.

(Now that my boys are down to two nap a day at the same time every day, we go out daily--even if its just to the grocery store!)

Yay on not being oogled at too much ~ that doesn't happen often here.

Now that you've done it, I'm sure you'll be going out more often. It's not only good for you to get out, but good for the boys too!!

yeah congrats!! that is so funny about the stroller because that's how it was when I brought them to work by myself for the first time. I couldn't call my SO because of no reception so I put the whole stroller in the van. SO got a big laugh out of it when he saw that :D

Yay! I still haven't taken mine out by myself for errands. I have taken them to the ped and a MOT garage sale. Someday I will be brave like you :)

hee hee I was going to post this today, that I did it, went to Wal-mart all by myself, but mine are 7 months old!!! You should be so proud!!! I pushed the stroller and pulled the buggy. I didn't get too many comments because I sort of avoided eye contact and tried to look busy. It is pretty scary until you actually do it and it is quite exhausting with all the unloading groceries, nursing in between etc. but i have a real sense of freedom now.

    Yay for trips alone!!!

Yay! Way to go! I think we underestimate what we are capable of doing with two babies. It's good to get out and show those babies off:)

It will just get easier (most days  ), I promise!! :icon_biggrin:

In the first few weeks (after DH went back to work), I was lucky to get out once or twice a week! Now, we are out daily! I WAS proud of myself this weekend, though - DH and my Dad were working on our house, so I decided to get the kids out of their hair for the day. We started with (DD's) gymnastics class, then lunch, then 6 or 7 errands, including furniture shopping. We were out for about 6 hours, 2 nursing sessions... and the boys were GREAT the whole time!

Congrats! My babies were about that age when I took them out the first time too...It was so fun (and felt so good to get out of the house). I love to take them out now. They like the change of scenery.

Yeah for getting out of the house by yourself! The first time I took the sng out by myself, I couldn't figure out how to collapse it too. I was fighting with it in the middle of a big parking lot and another couple with a baby came over to talk so I tried to pretend like I really knew what I was doing. Oh well.

    Congrats!! It's a big day!

The more you do it the easier it will be. Before long you won't think twice about loading up the diaper bag and hitting the road!

I totally forgot to mention, in my reply, that I too couldn't figure out my snap-n-go at my first outing alone with the boys! They were about 2 weeks old, and I left DH and DD at home so that I could take the boys to the lactation consultant. Finished my appointment, loaded the babies into the car, and then stood there trying to figure out how to collapse the stroller for ten minutes - I finally had to get on my hands and knees to study it better! Must be a common occurence with us sleep-deprived new twin moms! :FIFblush:
