Well-today was the BIG day! STORYTIME!!!! I had no expectations-which I think is great to have-especially with kids! We got there and there were a total of 14 kids. Another mother had a baby(older than Annabella), and another mother had a 15 month old. There was one other boy who actually shared the same birthday as my boys! He was quite verbal too.... Ah well..

Anyways-the boys did GREAT overall! I thought for the age group, it was quite long(2-3.5 years old). It was an hour, but to have 2 year olds sit for an hour... Eek! They got up to help with the telling of the story-felt story-so each kid got to go up and place the fruit on the board. And they got up to put a sticker next to their name(attendance). A quick song was song where they were encouraged to stand up and move. But, with the telling of the story, waiting for the other kids to go up with their felt pieces/stickers, it was a lot to ask of them to sit. BUT-my two did relatively well. Anthony got upset when Nicholas went up to put something in the pot. I mean-real tears! Then he was all smiles when it was his turn. Then it turned sour when the other kids needed a turn! We're learning!

After the story, we made an A,B, C, D book. We glued the letters to the page, and then there were some stickers to add to the corresponding letters. They needed my help, but it was relatively quick and painless. Being a preschool teacher does have it's perks!

Annabella slept through most of it. She woke up right at the end and got a bit fussy at the end. But-we ALL made it. The boys got a lollipop at the end and were so eager to show daddy their little book!

It could have been much worse! I am worried that they are going to be more comfortable as the weeks go on... EEK!

As a side-there was another mother who had twins as well. Her twins were older-maybe closer to three, if not three. Very nice mom, introduced herself, etc. Then I noticed she had a friend with her! Here I am, with my two young ones, and an infant! LOL! Don't get me wrong-if I had someone available-FOR SURE I would ask for the help. I just got a good chuckle out of it!

I did get a few, "God bless you!" "You must have your hands full!" "You must be busy!" responses-but overall-a great experience!

    Go me! LOL!
