I know for many of you this is not a big deal, but to me it is. I went grocery shopping at Aldi this afternoon and took both kids with me... and it was a success! I know the store like the back of my hand and I had a list, so I was able to zoom through and get what I needed in under 30 minutes. The store wasn't crowded, and I didn't even have to wait to check out. It was so completely do-able. I don't know why I was so scared to try it. Hearing about how most of you get out and about with your twins definitely gave me the boost I needed to just go for it. Hopefully someone else out there who is terrified of shopping with their twins will see this and try it for herself!
Where did you put the twins? I am so scared taking my kids out grocery shopping without DH. I can't maneuver two carts.
Way to go!!! I go shopping other places where I won't need a cart, but have never attempted grocery shopping alone... If I tried the stroller and a cart I would probably knock everything down... lol.
That is so awesome!! :woohoo: Just imagine the doors you just opened by doing this. GREAT JOB!!! :clapping:
I'm glad it went well! Way to go momma! And this is just the starting point. I actually like grocery shopping with the boys. My favorite part? Going to the deli to get cheese! I LOVE it! And of course-they do too. You should have seen my boys STARING as the cheese was being sliced! I try not to take too long-just some quick items. And it's easy to distract them for the most part-just hand them a box of mac-n-cheese!
Way to go, Jessie! :clapping: Doesn't it just make you feel so empowered? You can get out successfully - you just proved it to yourself!
Congrats! That was a big step! Keep it going and it will get easier every time. And yes, sometimes your kids will go nuts, but that's okay, too. You will be fine, and so will they.
Thanks! I am still on a high today from it. Aldi and Sam's Club are the only two places that have the double seater carts in my town. Aldi is also a smaller store than the usual supermarket, which makes it an easier trip IMO.
