The amount of clutter in this house was about to give me a nervous breakdown. It was seriously becoming an obsession! So this morning (the kids are at the science museum with DH :good: ) I went through most of the kids' toys and dumped most of the random objects (wind-up dancing robots, plastic wallets, little bouncy balls, plastic lunchboxes they got for free at the zoo, etc.) into a bag. Then I gathered up all the "sets" of things they don't play with and/or never did (the LeapFrog fridge phonics, the plastic construction set -- which was big!) and stuck it all in a milk crate. I put it in the garage labelled "give away or toss, May 2010."

At least it made a dent. We might just possibly have room to fit their new birthday/Christmas toys into their closet now. And now I get to watch football! :drinks:

 Woohoo ~ WTG! Sounds like a great start. I did this not too long ago. I can't stand all of the little odd and end parts/toys that accumulate.

    Enjoy the football games!

That's great! I did the same thing this weekend. It was driving me nuts. But now it looks like all we really have is stuffed animals. lol. But I am actually satisfied with having little of things. For Christmas I am focusing on coloring books, etc., and no items with little parts!

Ah, yes! The little oddball things drive me nuts! I hate seeing them kick around the floor forever. Good job! I need to do the same.

Yay! Doesn't it feel great getting some of the 'clutter' out...even if there will be more coming in :)

I need to do this soon as well ~ those lil pieces seen to multiply around here!

    April :)
