I'm sorry for the double post. :(

Hi KitKat! Oooohhh boy welcome to my world! I am very familiar with those 3:00 a.m. treks to the kitchen for a bowl of cheerios! That started around week 5-6 for me. It's like I woke up one day and had to eat NOW or else I'd gnaw off an appendage right there on the spot...and it hasn't let up. DH laughs at me (in a nice kind of way) and shakes his head. The pee sessions seem to be getting better as of late, like twice a night instead of 4 times a night. Maybe this is all in preparation for the sleep deprivation that is soon to come!

I just kept a box of cereal and granola bars beside the bed.

Now that I'm in the hospital, the nurses have given me the code to the snack closet...cereal, popsicles, applesauce, you name it! :rotflmbo:

I was the same for my first trimester. It seems to have slowed down a bit now. But I actually have an eating strategy now. I know that I have to eat something every couple of hours. I try to eat as much fruit as I can, before I resort to eating carbs. When I pack my lunch for work, I pack back-up food just in case I am having a hungry day. That way I'm not tempted to get chocolate bars from the vending machine. But, if I am having a craving for something specific, I give into those cravings.

Yes, its normal and it happened to me too. I started taking glasses of milk and some biscuits to bed as I used to wake up hungry. Dont worry, it´ll pass! :)

Oh yea - that is normal! Isn't it weird to be nauseaus and starving all at the same time?? ;) I never woke up at night to eat - I woke up hungry but forced myself to go back to sleep. I would have a bowl of cereal RIGHT before I went to bed at night. That seemed to help get me through. I was absolutely starving first thing in the morning though. You've got two little babies in there growing like crazy and weight gain is most important in your 1st and 2nd trimester so eat up. :)

I was painfully hungry for the whole first trimester of my pregnancy. I gained a ridiculous amount of weight, b/c I never had any morning sickness, only ravenous hunger.

 I remember how miserable the hunger can be, don't worry, for me it subsided greatly in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

Yup, totally normal and it hasn't stopped yet! I keep granola bars and individual bottles of orange juice beside my bed so I don't have to keep getting up and down all night. I'm sooooo hungry all the time!

I wish I could eat more! I finally have had hunger pangs starting yesterday! I have acid reflux really bad so I think that has stopped any urges of wanting to eatl I havent ever been really hungry until yesterday, so that was a nice feeling. With being dilated so early on I am trying to eat more and take extra bites though i dont feel like eating more just so I can fatten them up!

Totally normal, I was like that during my entire pregnancy. Not nauseous after about 10 weeks (thank goodness), but starving. There were times when it would make me panicky because I felt like I couldn't chew fast enough to keep up! I had a snack (cereal or a milkshake) right before bed, then I ate two granola bars every single night (at about 1 and 4 a.m.), plus I had to have a snack as soon as I woke up, before I could even take a shower.

It was such a relief after the girls were born when I started having normal hunger pangs again -- the growling in the belly. When I was pg, my stomach never really got empty, so I never had that -- just a constant driving need to eat. (I gained 70 lbs BTW -- but have lost it all.)

I am almost 13 weeks and I have discovered that if I eat about every 3 hours I feel better. I usually get headaches and that ...kinda sick feeling...if I don't. Also I have What to eat when expecting and the book recommends this, its better for the babies!! So don't feel bad about eating...your bady is going through amazing changes. Just try to eat as healthy as you can!! Good luck!

First trimester was nausea, this one i am starving. No real cravings for anything though. Portions are getting alot bigger, but 2 hrs later am hungry again. Doc says the boys are eating whether or not i am, so eat away.
