I can't not brag about this!

My kids can COUNT! OK, they can count to 2, but I am flabbergasted that they have any concept of number at all. They'll hold up two spoons (dolls, books, whatever) and announce, "Two!" Ivy even points and counts "One, two."

They also know lots of colors. They're constantly labeling colors of what they see. (And getting it wrong sometimes, but more often than not they're right.) "Buh-LOOO!" "Yeyo!" "Pink!"

And this isn't so much genius territory, but Ivy's also starting some very basic pretend play, and it is just so darn cute. She'll lay down a stuffed animal and whisper "Sleep." And the other day she wiped her Pooh bear's butt with toilet paper and said "Diaper, poopy." :lol:

SOOOOO cute!!! What geniuses!!!

My girls will label things yellow (yewoh) or blue (bloo)... thats it. But mostly they are right Oh and I agree the pretend play is so darling. The girls now have their stuffies drink from their sippy cups! They hold them up, go "yum yum yum... Ahhh!" It just slays me each time I see it.

how freakin' CUTE! I love that my girls are doing stuff now that makes sense to me, too. Like they love to snuggle with their teddy bear ... or anything soft ... by either holding it up to their cheeks or laying on it. They are actually understanding things I say like "go put stinky diaper in the trash can" ... except I have to be careful that EVERYTHING in the living room doesn't end up in the trash can! LOL!

I love counting....DS, says 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3 yay! Makes me giggle every time. DD can count to 10 already, minus saying 1 and 5. lol.

It's so great that your kids are counting..such a great milestone!

 

Awesome!!! I love it!! I was just saying how Ella counts to 2 also!!! I say one and she says "two"!!! She and Griffin like to pretend they are giving their Giraffe (or "raff") a drink of their sippy or a cracker, etc....It's a big giraffe that balls roll down his neck....lol

This is awesome, it seems like everyday it's something new!!

 

So much fun, and sooo sweet!
