I am 31 weeks and two days. I am so big, so uncomfortable, can't sleep, can't run around with my 2.5 year old, and am an emotional WRECK. I am filled with anxiety of delivering two babies, filled with anxiety over my health and theirs, and just want this over with. I cry every couple of days, just sort of bubble over with sadness. I don't think I can make to term! I just really don't want to be pregnant anymore!

    Molly

 I am so sorry that you are so miserable! 31 weeks is still too early to have these babies. The end is near though, and I promise it will all be worth it in the end. Take Care!

I am sorry you feel this way but it will end hopefully well Are you having complications at all? or are you just fearful of the unknown . I hade no complications but I was petrified to give birth! and then to vring them home I was so overwhelmed with the very thought of it so I know what you feeling just try to get as much rest as possible and hang in there!

I'm fighting those feelings at 31 weeks and 2 days also. I'm trying to not get bogged down in the time left and instead focusing on the day ahead (or at least the week). Also, I've been trying to schedule fun things to do each week, but I'm still really mobile. I saw my doctor today and she sees no indication that I'm going at all earlier than the 38 week eviction day, so I know I'm in it for 6 more weeks, which seems endless right now. The individual weeks go by really fast though. And summer is always the quickest month. Sorry you're feeling crappy, but you CAN do it and once it's over, it will become a distant memory very quickly.

Then again, there are times when 6 weeks seems like a VERY short amount of time and I freak out about delivery and taking care of two new babies (my first and second). So, the whole pregnancy thing is basically one giant emotional roller coaster ride....

Hope you feel a bit better soon.

Lots of  Molly! I remember that part of my pregnancy very well, and it was pretty miserable. I couldn't sleep, I didn't feel like eating, and just walking through the store was enough to make me want to collapse. And, at the time I had a 9/10 month old learning how to walk!

As mentioned above, 31 weeks is still way too early. You've got to hang in there and work it out for just a few more weeks. You're in the home stretch, and before you know it, all of this will be a very distant memory and you'll have two beautiful, healthy babies here with you! Talk to your OB and express your feelings. Mine was very understanding and gave me the option of taking Ambien at night, just so I could sleep. I'm glad I did it, because I think it really changed my outlook on things. Not for everyone, but I was so miserable and uncomfortable that I was willing to try anything at that point. Try to find little ways here and there to pamper yourself and rest. You CAN do this Molly!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments and support. It's nice to hear I am not alone. I can do this.... I know. I will try to relax and be more patient. LOL.

Oh, and no I haven't had any complications as of yet. Just more fearful of this one, since there are two!

I feel the same way and have a 20 month old!

Just know in the grand scheme how small the amount of time you have to wait really is, and I suggest keeping yourself busy with fun things. Some days I spend hours in the nursery organizing clothes and blankets, sorting diapers so they are ready, ect.; other days I don't want anything to do with that room!

Having a toddler is exhausting at times but they do keep you occupied which may be the best thing for you right now. I'm potty training my son so it's very consuming right now but I need it be busy!!

Good luck mama, we're all here for you :p

    Hi, Molly.
I know I've felt that way and I'm only 26 weeks along. It is stressful, and you are not alone! I just went back to some older posts on this site - the ladies then now have two and three year olds. It helped to see that they made it through.

    Hugs to you!

I know EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. I am sooo uncomfortable, miserable, emotional, and yet anxious to meet them. But, remember that each day you keep those babies baking saves you like 3 days in the NICU...and so every time I wish this could be over and done, I know that the stress and anxiety of the end of the pregnancy would PALE in comparison to having your babies in a NICU for MONTHS and the driving back and forth, machines, potential health problems, etc.

Hang in there, when you look back in a few years, you'll be amazed at how short these last few weeks were!!!

I completely understand! I remember 30 weeks!! I had a BM like every time I ate...I only slept for an hour at a time at night because I had to go to the bathroom all night long - I was so happy when it was daylight so I could just get up! I reached 30 weeks and then had to go on bedrest because of low amniotic fluid for our girl...and then stayed on bedrest until I delivered at 34 w 6 days. HANG IN THERE!!! You have to make it to 34 weeks AT LEAST!! Keep telling yourself that, and it will save so much exhaustion and misery in the NICU! We still had 17 days in the NICU because our little ones would not eat. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Congrats on getting this far!!

Molly, Please don't think of the "what if's", I know it's hard not to but it will only eat up the energy you do have. You'll not only be able to do this but you'll do an amazing job. Then you'll have three amazing kids and ... well... you still won't have much energy but at least you'll be able to run around!

 I'm so sorry you feel this way! Even at 24 weeks I feel like this some days and it's hard isn't it? Try to focus on some fun stuff if you can and take it a day at a time. Definitely talk to your OB too as previous posters said. I know last week I had a lot of tearful days worrying about so many things...I even broke down in tears because my bank card was declined at walmart because it had expired and I hadn't found time to go and activate my new one with working f/t, an 11 month old and 11 yo and being preggo x 2. Course it didn't help when I grumbled about not having time that the teller said oh I work there too and we are open til 8 at night, yeah cuz my days end at 8 pm! Good grief I was a wreck, heehee! You can do this!!! HUGE  !!!!! If you can you shoudl try and go for a spa day, that might help you feel better, or at least pampered.

I'm in the same boat!! I posted the same type of post at 29 weeks!! Everything you are feeling, I feel the same way. This is my first pregnancy and have the "what ifs" and hoping that I am prepared enough to take care of two babies. I just can't believe that they are going to let me take home two babies from the hospital with no experience! We just got to hang in there and hopefully it will go by fast!!

I am right there with you! They scheduled a c-section for me today for June 26... it is nice to have a finish line, but OH MY GOSH that is still a long ways off. I've already been on bedrest 3 weeks and can't imagine another 3!!!! I have a good "mental" day about every 4 or so and it seems to correlate with having something fun planned (like someone coming to visit...or even an outing to an appt followed by a Starbucks stop!) So, I am trying to plan a few things for the next few weeks or I WILL go crazy...

Let's hang in there.... we can do it...

 I know the feeling! At 28 weeks i'm feeling the same way. In my case i think getting put on bed rest is kinda what put me over the edge. I want these boys to cook as long as possible, but every day is definitely a battle. Good luck and you can do it!

    Molly,
whose around to help with your 2.5 year old?
It must be really hard work. I felt like you do and I don't have any other children.
Don't be afraid to ask for help. tell the people around you in real life what you've just told us here.
Rest and hang in there, you're doing great.

Molly, I feel your pain...it must be something about the 31 week mark! I cried most of the day today, and once the flood gates opened I couldn't close them again.

I too have a 2 year old and running around after him is so hard. By 9:00 today we were BOTH in tears!! What's worse is that, with the exception of the other women on this site, my regular friends and even family don't understand what we're going through and how hard it is both emotionally and physically.

We CAN do this and what's more....we'll be SO tired after these babies get here that we'll be wishing to be back here. :D

    Hang in there!

It's getting so hard for me too
I think a lot of that is our bodies are measuring full term, so that makes us feel DONE.
Every day my four yr old cries when her sister goes to school, because she has no one to play with, and I can't take her anywhere. She asks if we can please go to a store or a restaurant :(
