I cant breath!

This weekend I managed to catch a cold. Thank goodness my cousin offered to take my girls for the weekend 2 weeks ago to play with her ID twin girls. I planned on going to bed early the night they went over there to sleep and rest so hopefully it wouldnt worsen. DH got in an accident that night and was hit by a cow. 3 cars in total hit the poor animal, Dh was the last one and it did alot of damage to our vehicle. I sat up waiting for more details and what the police would say. Luckily Dh only had a really bad headache from flying up in the air and coming back down and hitting the roof of our van. I didnt got to bed until 2 AM that night and started feeling worse. My plans of taking it easy and resting kind of got inturupted so now my cold is alot worse. I had to wait until today to call my Dr and get a prescription for Sudafed since you can only get it by prescription here in Oregon. My lungs are on fire of very tight from all the congestion and the fact that my baby is breech. I have just been so very miserable the last 2 days and I cant wait until I can get the sudafed and be able to breath a little easier. Nothing is going to make my stubborn baby change positions right now but I will be happy with just a little bit of relief. Having a cold and being pregnant is just plainmiserable!!!

 

I'm happy to hear your DH is okay, and I know it's not funny, but I'll admit I did get a little chuckle out of the whole 3 cars hitting a cow thing... ...sorry! I hope you feel better soon, it really is lousy being sick while pg!

I'm right there with you! I feel worse now than I did with my entire twin pregnancy. I'm glad we don't need a prescription here for sudafed, you just have to get it from behind the counter. Glad your dh is ok. :hug99: Hope you feel better soon!

 

If it is in your chest, it might be the flu. I know, sounds weird, but I had it at the beginning of the year and i could barely breathe anytime i moved more than a hair. My throat was on fire too so at first I suspected strep but that symptom went away within a day or two so i didn't get checked out. It wasn't until the secondary sinus infection kicked in that I went to the Dr and he did a flu test and we found out I had just battled the weird strain of the flu. It had no fever and little body ache associated with it. I found Mucinex to help a lot with the chest congestion, but I am not sure if it is pregnancy safe.

 

There is almost nothing worse than being sick while prego... hang in there and get that Sudafed!!

I'm glad your DH is okay. It is kind of a funny story though....

 

Oh my, SO glad to hear DH is ok. What a relief. I hope you start feeling better soon. Nothing like being pregnant and sick...YUCK!
