I can't believe i'm here!

Well , after 10 months of not using any prevention. Dh and i decide for me to start the pill. We thought 4 kids is enough. I guess someone had other plans for me. The pill i was on, you take it for 3 weeks and then have a 7 day break and thats when you have a af. Well those 7 days came and went. I didn't think much of it. Just thought it was me getting used to it. Well this weekend i started "feeling" pregnant. Sunday i had morning sickness, so yesterday i went and got a hpt. I did my thing and didn't look at it. I went down stairs and told my husband to look. He came down and said it was negative. (I'll get him later for that) He waited about 20 min before bringing me the test and showing me. I almost fell over. I took that darn pill every day and even at the same time.

So i find myself here posting. I am around 4 weeks. Due April 9. I think those little critters just wanted a challenge. Me being on nothing was too easy for them.Lol.

I had a normal cycle on July 3, thats when i started the pill. I also got pregnant with my oldest while on the pill. And yes i always take it every day and roughly same time. I know the pill i was on was a low dose pill. I got prego with the twins the month i stopped the pill. So i'm finally taking the hint, that i can't be on the pill. Time for hubby to get snipped.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone through this fun trip.
Oh, and please tell me that having 3 children under 2 is easy . Plus a teenage dd

 

Congrats and welcome. Pill ( Femcon Fe)didn't work for me either except it was a full dose pill and like you I know I took that thing perfect every day. Took a month had a regular cycle, dtd first night of 2nd pack, then it didn't show up and bfp. So we will have 3 under 1 and a pre teen (who is wonderful and a huge help) so I don't know about easy quite yet but I am due in 2 days and can say I've had a perfect pregnancy. Wasn't the slightest bit tired even chasing babies all day, no complications etc. so luckily so far has been easy. I too am going with the option of hubby getting snipped. WElcome and congrats to you! That had to be a shock! Crazy how things happen!

Ok, I don't have a teenage DD thrown in the mix...but with my 3 and my daycare kids (who I watch from 7:15 - 5:30 everyday) are 5 months, 2 years, two 3 year olds and a 3y7m)...so I have 5 under 4 for 10 hours a day! It's challenging, but they are all getting to be at good ages where they are getting more independant, etc. I think the twins had an easier adjustment to a new baby than they would if they were just a singleton b/c they like playing together and did their own thing.
