last night - it was 2:30 and I have been SO tired!!! one of my girls started to cry (they sleep in the same bassinett) I picked her upand instead of breastfeeding her - I decided to fix her a bottle of formula - my girls are on different formulas (Ava is on Enfamil AR for bad reflux and Addison is on Alimentum to help her bowels -we only give formula to them every once in a while) WELL - I thought I had AVA and fixed the Enfamil AR which has rice in it - they told me not to give it to Addison because of her bowel issues and after she had drank the entire 3oz - I realized that i had just fed it to ADDISON!!! so far she seems ok - but what a bad mommy I am!! how could I have done that!! other people have a hard time telling them apart but not me!!! I was just so tired! how long after a c-section does it take to get back to normal?????????

I'm still not back 100%, but feel significantly better than the first 6 weeks. I had a pretty difficult recovery. When I started working out I noticed more improvement in my physical capabilities, but I still cannot move as swiftly as I used to. I'm sure I'll get there!
Take a deep breath....don't feel bad. No sleep makes you so disoriented. I've heard of moms so tired before they went to feed their baby & realized they were upside down. You're NOT a bad mom...I'm sure she'll be fine. If you're really worried, call their dr today & see what they say. They're only 2 weeks old; your body has/is going through major stuff! And I don't know about how long it takes to get back to normal....for us there is no such thing anymore. But I think around 12 weeks I started getting a little energy back. If you've got anyone to help, definitely take advantage of it!
Oh my goodness do not beat yourself up! Feeding it to her once won't hurt her trust me. We've all done silly sleep deprived things...I went to the store to get formula and I was exhausted! I have 3 other kids so I wasn't able to nap when the twins did! Anyway, I fed them a couple of bottles and their tummies really seemed to be bothering them and I couldn't figure it out. Finally, I realized I bought Good Start Soy STAGE 2!!! Oops! As for the c-section..it was about 2 weeks before I could get around with no pain. It does get better every day though!
Um.. I have b/g and I confuse them too!! Don't ask me how I do that! I think it has less to do with the c section and more to do with sleep deprivation. I healed just exhausted!!
Have you had your iron levels checked? I know that after a c-section due to the loss of blood you might become anemic. I would make sure you have your iron checked at your follow up appointment. I would also make sure that you are taking your prenatals still. HTH and I hope you feel better soon! It is so hard to take care of newborn twins (and three other kids in your case), especially if you are still recovering from a c-section.
You are not a bad mommy! It takes a long time to get used to the sleep deprivation, like 3 months then you'll feel like a real person kind of.
