I can officially join in!

    We're 5 weeks 6 days... the baby has a fetal pole, yolk sac and a heartbeat of 112 beats per minute. This puts me due around September 6, 2008. DH made her triple check and we're sure but she said identical twins can definitely hide behind the other but there is only one sack... I'm sure there's just one!

    I'm going to have three, two and under! :icon_eek:

    I am excited... shocked by excited! I am very surprised there was only one. Anyone else a little disappointed in just having one? Its like I expect babies to come in pairs.

    I felt the same way, I was really exctied there was just one and then part of me was bummed b/c there wasn't two in there. I even grocery shop in pairs...lol. I'm so used to buying 2 that I buy 2 of stuff at the store. ha!

    Anyway, congrats!!! I'm so excited you are joining us! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

    I just PM'd you a few minutes ago...I was over at CH today for my 6 week check!! Got to show off Julianna to Karen...
    I remember my first u/s around the same gestation I was also kind of surprised it was only one. And although I was relieved, I did feel a little disappointed. I didn't fully believe it was only 1 until I had around 3 u/s. (I had more b/c of bleeding issues the first trimester). Congratulations!!

    Thats how I feel. I have an U/s and the found only one but I have heard stories of twins hiding behind each other. Plus I am really big and noone believe that I only have one. SO on the 21 I have my 3D and I will " know for sure". Congratulations glad to have you here!!

    Congratulations! I vicariously sort of know how you feel. My grandsons just turned 10 months old and my daughter is right at 9 weeks pregnant. We found out this week she is having only one. I'm relieved but somewhat guilt ridden that I was hoping for just one. I keep thinking what if she had only had one with the boys. I can't imagine there not being the two of them so I've felt this nagging guilt about wanting one. Again, congratulations! I'll watch for your progress.

    OH yes, I was disapointed about there only being one... but now I am glad it all worked out how it did.
