My babies, Jack and Lily are 7 mos. and one week now. My friend has 18 mos. old boy twins. I got really very very brave and took Jack and Lily out to Lunch with my friend and her twin boys on Friday afternoon. We take them out quite often but this was the first time it was just me and the babies, (vs. having an extra hand to help in case of a double meltdown) and my friend was obviously very busy with her own two. So there we were - 2 adults and 4 babies and we did just fine.

So many people (mostly women) came up to us to say how brave we were! Jack and Lily were fabulous just sitting in their high chairs - Lily eating her Cheerios and Jackie staring at me with these huge adoring eyes and throwing his toys on the floor!

Congrats Amy! You should be proud of yourself - it's a lot of work (before, during and after!).

Wow, I'm very proud of you, that is alot of work. We haven't ventured out to a restaurant with the babies at all yet.

Wow!! I'm proud of you! I've been contemplating taking the two of them out for lunch with an old work colleauge (she wouldn't be bringing her kids), but haven't gotten up the courage (or energy!) to actually do it. Good for you!!!!!

Yay! Don't you love it when things go like that?? I ventured out to a resturant by myself with the girls about a month ago - it turned out great too! The only down fall was that there was only 1 functional highchair - the others - the straps were broke - so I had to really keep one baby really close to me. But the girls had re-fried beans and rice for the first time and just flirted with everyone! It was great and I was just so proud of them. Congrats on your first alone outing with the babes!!

    Amy,

That's awesome! I've tried taking my girls a few times to restaurants, but never with other kids too. Four kids and two moms is very impressive!
