My midwife came by today to weigh the twins, and I was FLOORED when we found out their weights! I was getting worried because I havent had that "full" feeling since my milk came in. It seemed like when we had our singleton son, I was full so often in the first month. I was starting to feel like I might not be able to do this EBF thing with the twins. Especially after last night. From 10 pm to 5 am this morning, the twins were awake, screaming, and wanting to constantly nurse. I even ran out at 4 am to the 24 hour 7-11 on the other end of town to get a can of formula because I was completely empty from nursing two screaming babies every 20-30 minutes for 7 hours in a row.

BENNY GAINED 17 OZ IN 6 DAYS and now weighs 6 lbs 11 oz, at birth was 5lbs 8
EMMA GAINED 12 OZ IN 6 DAYS and now weighs 6 lbs 12 oz, at birth was 6 lbs even

Woke up this morning after 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep ( They never did get the formula, by the time I got home, the two of them were sleeping soundly in their swings with daddy on the floor between them!!) FULLER than I felt when my milk initially came in! Growth spurts are great for bringing your milk production up... but holy hell we certainly could of done without the 7 hours of screaming!!!!

congrats on such great weights! that's awesome. and congrats on surviving the nursing binge. i would have caved after about 4 hours (in fact, i did on numerous occasions ;) ).

and that's so cute that you found your hubby on the floor between them. i can just picture it.

I don't know what it's like to nurse a singleton, but I have nursed twins, and I've heard others say the same thing you said about not feeling full.

I think it's really easy to second guess yourself when your nursing, especially with twins. I think you should be very proud of yourself for sticking it out!!
