I am so going to have to pay for counseling

So last year, my Peter liked sledding, this year, not so much. Jamison has become the sledding junky. We took them to the big hill in town to burn some energy. Jamison went up and down that hill like a crazy man.....loved it!. Peter refused to try. I talked to Peter, trying to convince him to give it a try, remembering that he liked it last year. I scooped him up and went down the hill and let me tell you I have never seen a more angry 3yo. We got a little snow in the face....which did not help at all. At the bottom of the hill....he said "momma, you go to the naughty spot, 5 minutes" wow he was mad. I apologized explaining that I wanted him to try it...he did not have to like it....but I was happy that he tried. To make it up to him, I carried him on my shoulders up the hill. I explained that I would not do that again...and I was excited that he tried.

I am going to have to pay so counseling for that one.....

 

That sounds like us and swimming every year. Sometimes it takes a little force to remind a child why they liked it to begin with. As long as you don't force him down repeatedly against his will, I see no therapy in his future.

I would have done the same thing!!! At least he went once.

I am constantly amazed at how they flip flop on all that stuff. Used to be Martin didn't like the swimming pool and this past summer it was Ali, who's next year?

No I did not sit in the naughty spot. Mommas and dads do not sit there. I explained that I like him to try things and after you have tried something and you still dont like it then you dont have to do it again. I apologized and said that I would not do that again.
