Who knew, lol?! J&H got their teeth early - 8 by 8 months (and they were 2 mths preemie). They also got them together. If Justin cut a tooth, I knew Hailee woud be getting the same tooth within a week. Guess I never realized it would mean they would lose them early also. They have both been so excited about losing teeth for about a year now. Both have also been telling me for that long that they have a loose tooth, it has been wishful thinking, until now. A couple of weeks ago J told me he had one, I blew it off at 1st thinking it was just another 'fake'. Then I watched him wiggle as he was insisting it was loose, hmmmm, it did appear to be wiggling. I felt it and sure enough it was loose - just barely. H, of course was quite disappointed about not having one. And then, exactly a week later, she woke with the same tooth loose. Knowing her, she had been banging it on the side of her bed at night to loosen it [IMG]

J's tooth is now soooo loose it is ready to come out. Daddy called this morning from work to check on it and I looked and wow is it loose! So we decided he will pull it tonight so we don't lose it. Now, I have no aversion to blood when they get hurt or anything, but when I jokingly told J to yank it out (thinking he would give me that 'are you nuts' look!), he grabbed and started yanking. I freaked & yelled " ewww, no, stop!" he was really gonna do it!! And now all I can think about is that I hope that thing stays in there til Dad gets home, lol. Not sure why the thought of a little tooth coming out is so "ewwwww' to me [IMG] Guess I better get used to it, Hailee's will be next and Justin already has another loose one - so guess she will have another any time now [IMG]

I can't believe they are losing teeth already Tara!!! [IMG] The wiggly tooth thing would gross me out too! I hope your DH can get it out so you don't have to look at it anymore!

Tara, send them over, I am a tooth pulling expert. Actually most kids start loosing them between 5 1/2 and 6, so I would say they are right on target!

My boys seem to lose their teeth at about the same time--so the tooth fairy can be quite busy around here. Jordan will not pull his loose teeth out and so they are almost hanging before they finally come out. For Conner, as soon as they are a little loose, he really goes to work on them until he gets them out. If your kids have fairly loose teeth that you want to come out, suggest to them that they eat an apple (my kids' preschool teacher told us about this, and it really works). Don't worry; pretty soon, you'll be completely used to teeth falling out right and left....

Figures I would see this post tonight! We always have the best conversations when I am putting K&K to bed and tonight Kayla tells me about someone in her class whose Dad pulled his tooth out with a rope. Kyle absolutely freaked!!! He made me promise not to pull his teeth out with a rope. He told me he is ready to go to the hospital when he needs his teeth pulled!

Hope tonight went ok. Can't wait to see toothless in a couple months!

Well, Daddy went to pull it and it didn't come right out, so we left it alone. It is barely hanging on in there! I read a little last night and it's supposed to be better to just let it fall on its own or have the child pull it. Unfortunately, my freaking out has left Justin afraid to try to do it on his own again. Guess we'll wait & see how it goes today.

Oh, and true to form, Hailee woke with her 2nd loose one today.

So, Di ( & Sharon & Michele [IMG]), you will get the pleasure of 2 toothless minis in a couple of months [IMG]

Tara, have him try twisting it, that will usually pop it out easier than just pulling back and forth.

Can't wait to see the pic! My boys will be soooo jealous!

Allen decided to give it one more try before bed last night - and it popped right out! I can't believe it, my baby has lost his 1st tooth!! He did great, let Daddy reach in and pull and wasn't upset at all over the blood, although he wanted nothing to do with the salt water we tried to get him to drink. But I can't blame him for that, blech!

I recorded it on the camera, lol. And took some pics, if my actual computer wasn't doa I would post a pic of his big gappy smile, but I am using one of the kids laptops - an old dinosaur that has serious issues, so no pics.

We decided to give them the gold dollar coins. He was soooo thrilled this morning, he came running into my room 1st thing to tell me he got gold for his tooth [IMG]
