Miles woke up at 5 am and it took me about 1/2 hour to get him back down to bed. Not 20 minutes later he was back up, just wanting to snuggle. I took him out to the couch because my husband needed to sleep. I was trying to encourage Miles to fall asleep on his own instead of on top of me on the very narrow couch and he was very squirmy. He was just standing there looking at me like "what the heck, lady?" and I was so tired I fell back asleep right away. When I woke up later.. I don't know how much later, but it was getting light.. he had his head folded onto his arms sleeping, but he was still standing! The poor kid was literally sleeping standing up because I wouldn't let him snuggle with me.

I think someone will be getting some unnecessary treats today to absolve me of my guilt.

 How cute is that though? Hopefully he takes a great nap for you!

We just got back from Disney, and I feel guilty because all we did was run around and the kids were EXHAUSTED! We had reservations for a dinner at 4:15 pm...no nap...and Anthony was falling asleep at the table!

The best part-Miles will never remember! :)

And-ice cream always makes me feel better. :)

Probably not the response you were going for, but that made me laugh.

I can totally understand about the squirminess, you'd think my kids have ants in their pants always!

Awww! I agree - it's too bad you weren't able to get a photo. Did he enjoy his guilt treats?

 Jen, you are not mean. That would make a funny picture. My kids are very squirmy and I cannot imagine a comfortable night's sleep with them!

The worst part was that I was vaguely aware that he was not on the couch but I was too tired to deal with it! It's a sectional, so I assumed he would crawl up on the opposite side and share my pillow, but he must have been too tired to figure it out. Poor baby, all he wanted was to snuggle with mommy. He seems no worse for wear today though and ate an entire bag of oranges because I didn't realize that Kris was giving him oranges every time he asked for them too.. so I suspect we'll be up a few times tonight with a sore belly too!
