It happens when I clean or cook dinner, I know its not my blood sugar because it'll happen even in the middle of standing up drinking OJ it just seems like I need to sit. Anybody else ever have this?

I feel weird all the time. I have felt dizzy, short of breath, like my heart is going to beat out of my chest and like my body is so heavy it just does not want to move at all. I have become sooo lazy! I barely survive my days at work and when at home I have to lay down 3 and 4 times a day just to get things done. I go to the MD tomorrow and I plan on discussing all of this with her. I think some of it is normal...I am just amazed that I feel so different! Just try to relax as much as possible...Good luck!

I felt that way with all of my pregnancies especially in the beginning - I think it is a hormonal thing.

I felt like this constantly until about 15 weeks. I even actually "passed out" a couple of times. Of course I wasn't eating much either due to MS. I am now starting to feel light headed again.

My OB said that it happened due to the doubling of blood volume during pregnancy & that it was 'normal'.
It is definitely not fun though & can be a little scary
If you feel like it is getting really bad or much worse definitely bring it up w/ your dr.

My doc said the same thing about the increased blood flow causing the dizziness. Its just wierd to be sitting or lying down even and get that way. It got so bad while driving that my DH no longer lets me drive.

  7. I feel that way sometimes every hour, it just depends. I noticed today as well that it really happeneds if my stomach is very full. Its so scary I know. My docs told me that I may have a heart problem because when that does happen my heart beats so fast! For me when they come my legs start to hurt real bad, I get severly light headed, my heart races, I start sweating, and I just feel like I am going to......pass out. Its a very scary thing especially when it happeneds as often as I get it. But oh well I just deal with it. I wish you the best of luck!

It got better for me. I always experienced it when I was just done eating but it has gotten better since it started. :acute:

This happens to me too. The faint feeling for me is not blood sugar related, but blood pressure related. I know this b/c I work at a hospital and my boss caught me being all pale with my head down and had a nurse come take my blood pressure which was low 90/70. I just have to drink a TON of water to make this feeling go away. Also, heartrate and blood pressure are inversely proportional so when blood pressure goes down, heartrate goes up. This could explain your heart racing. My heart also races, but for me it is when I am about to have a braxton hicks. I would mention your symptoms to your Dr. but dizziness is pretty common in pregnancy. The last time I tried to drive myself to town I had to pull over on the freeway and lay my seat back b/c I felt I was going to pass out.

I had some problems today, I was sooooo hot in walmart and target I just felt weak and dizzy and faint, it's awful! It's only happened one other time, back when I was about 10 wks and that time I literally fell on the bed, I'm so glad I was at home when it happened!!

I find this too- I am 28 weeks now. I will be fine then suddenly feel like I am going to pass out. I thankfully have not passed out yet, but its scary!

Yep, increased blood volume will do it and you may have low blood pressure, too, which will cause dizzziness. Try standing up sloooowly and keeping your feet up as much as possible when you are sitting. Wear loose fitting clothes, too, which I know is easier said then done while carrying twins. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, unfortunately. I experienced it pretty frequently from about week 15 on and it got a bit worse throughout pregnancy; since then I just haven't been able to stand in place (I lasted longer walking) for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. And with me too it wasn't blood sugar, blood pressure, or anything else discernible. The dr said it was probably the uterus pressing on the vena cava or something like that, and just to sit down when I started to feel that way. Definitely limited my ability to do things like cook much of a meal, stand in a long line, etc.

Yeah, i get that alot too. Peri said it's because of the increased bloodflow going to the placenta ( instead of my brain ), and to expect it to happen more. DH won't let me drive because i get so dizzy.

Yesterday was the first time i almost passed out though. i was in the kitchen getting ready to make a sandwich and all of a sudden there were these little blinking lights in my vision and i was like " Oohhh look at all the pretty lights ", and DH caught me before i blacked out, and held me up. Needless to say it was back to bedrest for me the rest of the day.
