i am ashamed to say...

I still dont know if my girls are identical or not. :blush: I feel so dumb when people ask me. My peri always said they were mono/di, but that it cant be known for sure without a test. I asked my OB and she just said if we didnt want to buy the test, then to wait it out and see. When strangers see them, they always comment on how much they look alike, but I DO NOT see it. The only reason I think they might be is bc they both still have blue eyes. (Older DD and I have brown, DH hazel) Am I the only person in the world that still doesnt have a for sure answer???

That is a tough one! They don't look alike to me in the first pic, but they do in the 2nd! :umm:

 

I have brown eyes and have 3 kids with blue eyes. I don't think that means anything.

I do think they look alike but from the pics you posted I do see differences. Bottom line is, you'll never know unless you get them tested.

 

They look ID to me. I see the differences in the first picture, but they are angled differently to the camera and one has her mouth open, elongating her face, which could account for most of the differences. The moms *always* see the differences between ID twins, but strangers and family members who see them less often typically don't. If only your immediate family and people who see them every day can tell them apart, they're probably ID.

 

I suck at these, but they look ID to me and they are super cute!

 

I think they are ID (and obviously, ADORABLE!). My ID twins are mono/di and they have differences, just like your girls. I questioned it for a long time, and finally did the DNA test when they were about 16 months just to know.

 

I can see a noticeable difference in the 1st pic over the 2nd pic. But, my vote would be for ID.

I think they are adorable either way :wub: But, I would say, no, they have ALOT of similarities, but have a tad of differences. I am not good at this...but I just think they are precious either way...and that's what counts!!

 

They are adorable, and it is really hard to tell if they are ID. I want to say yes, but there are some differences, too. Either way, total cutie pies!!

It would make me SOOOO curious if I didn't know for sure (my boys are obviously NOT ID).

 

First of all, all of your girls are ADORABLE!

Secondly, if they were mono-di they ARE identical!!!

Thirdly, the pics are all of the proof we need here. They ARE identical w/o a shred of a doubt. No need to even think about a test!!!

Those babies are as identical as identical can be!!!! They are making different faces in the pics but HOLY IDENTICALS BATMAN!!!!

And then look at your avatar! This one is easy

I mean, they are not going to look exactly the same, but their eyes are the E X A C T same!! And their hair! Ya. ID!

I had to laugh when I saw the pictures they are for SURE IDENTICAL!!!!!! For what its worth that's what everyone said about my boys and I still didn't believe it until the DNA results came back.

Let us know if you get them tested! By the way they sure are beautiful!

Oh gosh, they are identical for sure. There are slight differences, but that looks like it's mostly due to head shape. You have two adorable girls. And definitely identical. (and FYI - I don't know for certain that mine are identical either, so you're not alone)

 

I'd say they are identical.

i was told my s were id...it's size differences that throw us off.

 

You are not alone!! We don't know if ours are ID or not, BUT my DH & I have both occasionally mixed them up (if we weren't comparing the two) so we think that means they're identical. I think we'll eventually test them just so we can KNOW for sure. Are you thinking of having the test done?

 

i think they are so cute! and no, i have no idea. but, they do look alike to me--someone who doesn't know them.... i don't think there's anything wrong w/not knowing. i think people put too much emphasis on that kind of stuff, "twin-ness" in general. i don't even think it's people's business when they ask me if mine are twins (no one ever asks if they're id cuz they dno't look alike at all, not even to strangers!)..... i'm not really sure how it works but you'll find out when the time comes or you need to know. or they need to know!

but you have nothing to be ashamed about!! and your not dumb for not knowing!

Well, they're cute for sure! I just wanted to say that you're not alone. We don't know for sure, either.
