Last night, DH and I were putting the kids to bed---the almost 3 year olds are a nightmare to put to bed! "I need another kiss,I need a tissue,I need a hug,Rub my back" and on and on and on.......... DS said to me last night "Kiss my feet mom (insert whiny voice here)"---- DH said "NO" and drug me out of the room. Then out in the hallway he looks at me and says "You were going to actually kiss his feet, weren't you???!!! Why don't you put that on your board and see what everyone says!!!!" He stormed down the steps, DS was in his room still screaming "Mom, kiss my feet!!"----- ......Then, I actually went in and did it! Oh,the joys of motherhood!

Do I seriously need help or what??????? ........LOL

That is funny. Ben often asks for me to kiss his feet when I put him to bed too. And I do. Gladly!!!

Oh, that is funny! Sammy asks me to kiss his feet all the time. It goes like this: "Kiss a toe!!!!", in the whiniest, high-pitched voice, like he's in agony or something. (I think it started when he actually had a boo-boo there once.) Of course I gladly oblige because his toes are scrumptious! :)

I love my both my boy's feet and give them kisses and pretend to gobble them up all the time -- as long as they are clean or have only been inside -- LOL. They love it!

I agree. Baby feet are so kissable. I still like to do that with my 3 year olds--at least right after they've had a bath!

I don't know why, but I always kiss ds's feet when he goes to bed. It's just become our little ritual. Now, I'll put him to bed & say, "Let me kiss that foot!" and he holds up a foot. :) So, I'm sure someday I'll be hearing "Kiss my feet, Mommy!"......and do it. :D

I kiss my kids feet all the time too, and I pretend that I'm going to eat them and make munchie noises. They love it, and it always makes us all laugh. :D I think my kids feet are cute and love to tell them that too.

I can understand where your DH is coming from because it seems like a submissive thing to do, and maybe that was his concern. I don't know if that was your ds's intent. Not sure if he would have picked up on that at such a young age. On the other hand, I kiss my kids all the time, so a kiss on the feet is not a big deal for us. ;)
