Husband and dog have also gained weight during my pregnancy!

Prior to getting pregnant I had heard of husbands who had gained weight during their wives pregnancy. Well I knew my husband had gained weight (about 15lbs) and today he took the dog to the vet...she's gained 8 lbs! Since I've been on bedrest, people have brought food by and if there are any little leftovers, we've given them to her. Well no more! Anyone else had a husband (or dog) gain weight during your pregnancy?

 

That's hilarious! I've actually lost 12 pounds so far, but that hasn't transferred to my husband

 

LOL, not only has my husband gained weight he has also expereienced other "sympathy" symptoms (which I've read can happen)...he was craving chinese food daily for the first 4 months of my pregnancy, one morning I told him I'm starting to get night sweats and he was like yeah me too (I thought he was joking) he said my back gets all sweaty now (he was serious,lol!).
I will give him credit though he has started running again over the last couple of months to lose the sympathy weight.

 

I lost 33lbs, and have only gained 9lbs so far. Dear Hubby found 12lbs of it!( He was finishing all those meals I couldnt the 1st trimester!) He just laughs, and tells me his belly is bigger than mine!

 

When I found out I was pregnant, my husband was a size 36 waist.....when I delivered he was a size 40!! He has since lost the weight. If nothing else it made me feel better that I wasn't the only one getting bigger!

My hubby gained weight during my pregnancy too. Though he quit smoking about 3 months prior to me getting pregnant so that contribute to his weight gain, but it still made me feel good that I wasn't the only one in the house expanding. :rofl:

 

I have put on 20lb, my DH has lost weight! HAHAHA! Go figure!

 

My DH has put on about 20 lbs, but he also quit smoking at the end of last year, which may have contributed.

 

My dh blew up while I was pregnant!!! Our dog did not (or not that we noticed) but now that the girls are here she has REALLY fattened up!! she sits under the highchairs and waits!! she really loves her large breed puppy food - but she knows that if she waits good things will come!!!
