hungry and feeling like a hog

At the beginning of the pregnancy I had this "evil hunger" .....I was ravenous and would get so emotional and upset if I had to go too long without eating. It was really hard for my DH because it started before we knew there were twins and he accused me of trying to "act pregnant" and that didn't go over well! He felt bad once we found out we were expecting twins.

Anyway, it went away after the first two or three months and just returned last week.....only I'm not as emotional about it as I was in the first trimester. Last week at the u/s we saw that my babies had each put on a pound in less than two weeks, so I wonder if that has something to do with it? I can't sleep the whole night through without waking up hungry and I find myself dreaming about food and getting hungry every 2 - 3 hours. I wonder if that means the babies are still growing at a really fast rate or is it just in my head?

I really would prefer to not have a big weight gain right at the end that I'm going to have to try to lose once the babies are born, but on the other hand if it's the babies that need extra food I don't want to deprive them.

Anyone else around 31 - 35 weeks or so feel a significant increase in appetite?

I can't stop eating, either! Last night I had two pb&j sandwiches, a bag of chocolate covered peanuts, a bowl of spaghetti, a package of cheese and crackers, a glass of milk and then MORE spaghetti! LOL! I really do think it has to do with how much they have to grow. My sweet tooth is all me, though. ;)

Yes, I was STARVING last week. I have a pretty good appetite anyway, but every now and again I think I could eat a horse! I think that happens when my twins are having a growth spurt.

I think it's totally normal. I was STARVING when I was pregnant with the twins. With this pregnancy (singleton), I am not nearly as hungry as I was with twins. It was seriouly ravenous with them. I too would wake up at 3-4 am and eata granola bar or something. I constantly was eating something.

I'm hungry all time too. Sometimes during dinner I'll be so tired I can't finish eating and then I'm hungry half an hour later. It's crazy. If I don't eat right before bed, I wake in the middle of the night and need to eat. I've been eating high protein granola bars and that seems to help for late night snacks.

I get absolutely ravenous, sometimes only an hour or so after I've eaten. But I'm also finding that when I do eat, I fill up much faster. I really do think mine just went through a growth spurt--my belly feels heavier and they feel like they're taking up more space when they move around...

Yes, i am STARVING most of the time. i cant seem to get enough in. And if I eat too much I pay for it in discomfort - i feel like they will bust through my skin. Mine have also put on roughly a pound each in the last two weeks. I have put on SO MUCH WEIGHT, I am dreading to see what I look like without the belly to even it out.
