How young did you take them to a live show?

The Wiggles are coming to Phoenix in March and I'd love to take my
boys. They are only 18 months right now so is it too young to try to
take them? We would only go if we could get good seats because I'm
afraid they wouldn't understand what was going on if we sat too far
back. I'm worried because it will be 160.00 for all of us to go and
that's a lot of money to waste if they won't be able to sit though much
    of the show.

Has anyone been to the Wiggles? How long is the show?

My boys are in love with those guys so I think they might do well but I
would love to hear from someone who has tried it.

We just went (2.75 yrs. old) 2 weeks ago to Playhouse disney live. They didn't participate at all but they LOVED it and wanted to watch it all again as soon as it was over!! So, take that for what it's worth. If you can wait a year, you'll get WAY more out of it IMO>

We took my girls to see the Ringling brothers circus at 22 months old. They loved it. For that show we did not have to pay for them, they sat on our laps. We took them to the big apple circus when htey were 2 1/2 they loved it (i didn't). Last weekend we took them to Finding Nemo on ice, they loved it.
We are going back to the Ringling brothers ciruis in March and we are going to se Playhouse disney live (but in Florida)
How was the play house disney live?

We took our oldest DD when she was 3 and she loved it!!! I can't see taking my twins to anything like that right now, even though they love the Wiggles, and they will be 2 next month.

I can't remember how long the show was.

We went to see "the Wiggles" the past 2 summers. First when the boys were 2.5yrs old and then at 3.5 yrs old. They definitely were more involved in the show at 3.5yrs (dancing, singing) yet were more in the height of their Wiggle mania between the ages of 2-3yrs. They seemed to love the show both times. It's one of the better kiddie concerts (bearable for parents) and runs about 1 hour 15 min. There is no intermission which is good. I find in the concerts with intermissions...just lose many of the kid's attention for the 2nd half.

We have done alot of live preformances since they have been close to age 2yrs on. I think the earliest one we went to was "Barney" at 22 months. They were able to sit through it and were interested. If you think they will be restless...chances are very great that the Wiggles will be back within the year. They do alot of touring!

I'm glad to see this post. We're going to the Ringling Brothers Circus next weekend and we'll absolutely go see The Wiggles when they come this way. I don't think we would have attempted either one at 18 months, though. Their attention span just wasn't long enough. They will watch a short kiddie movie now so I think they'll be OK. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I took my then 2.75 year old DD and 6 year old DD to the Wiggles Live with DH a couple years ago. It was a good show. Younger DD was squirming waiting for it to start but was okay after. I think it was about 80 minutes or so.

We took the boys to the Wiggles when they were 14 months old! They had a total blast - and so did we! I say go for it!

We took our girls to see Sesame Street Live at 25mos and I think it went ok but would have gone better now at almost 3. They wanted to wander the isles (we had floor seats) some of the time & the intermission was bad news, imo.

I just took my kiddos to see the doodlebops live last week. The loved it, understood what was going on, and behaved so nicely. I would recommend it. My kids had the time of their lives.

Thank you Michelle for posting this! I've been considering taking my girls to a Wiggle concert, but like you was concerned about their age.

We are taking the girls to their first concert (Laurie Berkner) in March. They will be a little over 3. From reading these posts, it sounds like they will be the right age to enjoy it. I really hope so since these tickets weren't cheap. :)

I think we may go for it. How about you?

DH and I are big theater buffs so we are really interested in getting the boys used to that kind of thing. This might be a good introduction, even though they are a little young. Of course, we should probably see if we can get through story time at the library first :)

I think I'll give it a try! But it would have to be close seats or else it could easily be a waste. :) Good luck to you, let me know how it goes!

I wish they were coming this way, I know my girls would love it even though they are still on the young side. They dance and twirl the whole time The Wiggles are on tv.

We took our kids to the Wiggles when they were 2 and 3 and they loved it!!! It's just so much fun and IMO 18 months is just fine to take them as long as you have help.
I am so bummed to know that they are going to be in Phoenix in March we just moved to Texas from Phoenix and we loved going to the Dodge Theater.---oh I just looked up the Wiggles website and saw they are gonna be at the arena. We will not be going unfortunately, they are only playing in El Paso,,,all of Texas and only in El Paso!!!
