How was your morning sickness

I had always heard that most people were the most sick with pregnancy #1 and then it stayed the same or got some better after that. I was not very sick with my fist one (twins) and have been pretty sick this time (twins again) So just wondering if my perception is off or other people have had similar experiences.

 

I voted that I was sicker the 2nd time and I was even sicker the 3rd! My last pregnancy I had to take meds because I just couldn't function and was soooo sick! I ended up taking those meds until I was well over 32 weeks. But the twins I was pretty sick but didn't need meds and it last for about 18 weeks.

Morning sickness is the worst! :hug:

 

i voted sicker the first time, although i'm still pretty early in this pregnancy so it could definitely get worse before it gets better! that being said, i wasn't terribly sick the first time either, just mild nausea most days, but i was able to keep food down & function.

 

I was much better the second time. I think it was because I had a singleton, and my hormones were not as crazy. Plus, I knew what to do if I got sick--eat. LOL! Of course, I gained the same amount of weight (and I should have gained less), and can't seem to lose it as easily this time.

 

I had horrendous morning sickness with my first pregnancy. I found out later I should have been hospitalised but didn't know that at the time. Sick for the second. Nothing for the third. Horrendous for the forth and nothing at all with the twins. One girl and four boys so no corralation with that either. Seems to be no rhyme or reason most of the time. Hope you feel better soon. I voted sicker the second time; although, this is the 5th time, and I've NEVER been this sick! I really didn't get sick outside of the twins. I got sick with them, but nothing like now. lol

 

I was soooo sick with my twins.... up until about the fifth month. This time I had nothing... I didn't even know I was pregnant until I was almost 14 weeks along! The only thing I really had was fatigue, but I have a thyroid disorder so we were attributing it to that.... boy was I surprised.

 

I was so sick with my son that I lost 10lbs. in two weeks and had to be taken to the doc to get fluids. I could hold nothing down and every smell made me terribly nauseous. With the girls, I was still very, very sick, but it didn't last as long and wasn't nearly as bad as with my son. The sickness is one of the reasons I absolutely hated being pregnant, it was so terrible for me.
