How to tell if the babies are moving?

Hello all, hope all is going well.
I was just wondering with this being my first pregnancy how can I tell if the babies are moving? I am almost 14 weeks along and I was just curious how to tell their movement from gas or anything else.

I didn't start to feel my two until I was 20ish weeks and then it was like I was being tickled on the inside. :lol: I could definately tell the difference between gas, or whatever, compared to them moving around. :good:

 

with my first one I didn't fell him until 22-23 weeks
with twins I only start feeling a baby A and around 18-19 weeks. I feel it like blowing up the bubble.

 

I was about 18 weeks when I felt something, and it was really faint.

 

I first felt them move at 13/14ish weeks, but I would go days and sometimes a week without really feeling much and then bam a lot in one day and then again a day with nothing. If I hadn't been pregnant before it would have been the 17 week kicks that I would have known for sure were babies. I never had the really gas bubbles fluttering feeling but a couple times, it was mostly if they moved really fast I could feel it and some kicks. At night when it was quiet I would drink a glass of orange juice or eat a bowl of ice cream and lay on my side and that is when I would feel them. I've heard popsycles work good too. It also really depends on your placeta(s). I have one and it is centered in the back. If you have one or both in the front than you won't feel them kick as early.

You really just have to use instinct. Once you do know for sure that it was a kick you'll be like o well I've been feeling that for a couple weeks now.
