How to nap 10 mo+ at someone else's house?

I have a trip to great Gmas next week and we'll need a nap while there.

Should I just suck it up and drag both pack n plays...is there a more convenient option? We're actually still in carriers, but WAY too wiggly (crawling, pulling up) to nap in them w/o being strapped in the car.

Suggestions?

We always take our PNPs whenever we are at somebody's house and they'll need a nap. We also take their sound machine and lovies. It's a lot to drag around but I don't know of any other option either. Sometimes if it's a decent drive (over an hour) they'll fall asleep on the way in the car and that is pretty much their nap until we are coming home again.

I know it is a pain but you will be so happy that you brought the pack n plays. In our experience--the kids just don't sleep as well unless it is an crib type thing. And at least you'll know you have a nice safe place to put them down.

 

I would take the pak-n-plays. Ours have never napped well ANYWHERE except in a crib or travel yard. They just won't sleep unless they are in those familiar places.

 

take the PNP... but if you normally nap in crib I would have them take 1 nap per day in the PNP for 2-3 days before you go to GG's house. let them get into the routine of it...

 

Thanks for the input...looks like we'll be taking both PNPs. I love having twins, but the logistics certainly leave much to be desired!

Yeah, usually we nap on the way & the way back...but it's just not going to cut it for this trip. Maybe I'll tow the house behind us, just in case.
