How to make him chew?

    Noticed today that Brandon (14m) does not chew his food more then 1-2 times then swallows his food whole.. Whats the deal with him? How can I get him to chew his food?

    it will just come in time. I always remind them to chew chew, but they don't always listen.

    Olivia used to do the same thing. I finally just started giving her very large peices of food, that she couldn't get in her mouth all at once. She figured out she had no choice but to chew each peice. Good luck.

    Zach does the same thing. Chew a few times and then swallows and chokes sometimes UGG> His speech therapist talked to a OT and said to give him long skinny strips of toast and put it on outside of teeth. This will force him to chew the food. It is kind of weird but Zach is doing much better already.
