I haven't introduced myself, even though I've made lots of comments around here. So, here's a go at how we had twins.

A year ago, hubby and I signed a lease on an apartment (we weren't married yet). We found out I was preggers that night. We moved into our nice big 3 bedroom apartment, and found out we were having twins. The aparment immediately shrunk. We got married September 1st surrounded by family. Got rid of the family September 4th. Planned on celebrating DH's birthday on the 5th. We took a nap, and when I got up, my water broke!! So much for the steak dinner, he got McDonalds and I got ice chips. I never went into labor. Two days later, Lukas's heart rate was too irregular, so the doctor came in and said 'We're having babies!'. I called my DH on the phone, and luckily, he was just pulling into the parking garage. The c-section was very quick for my little men. Lukas stuck his rump up before the doctor could even reach in to get him. She had to fish around for Jamie, because he stretched out. The entire time, they were talking about the machine that goes ping. DH likes off beat British comedy, and so did the doc. Jamie had transposition of the greater arteries and had surgery when he was 2 weeks old to correct it. During the NICU, we went out and got a mini-van. Now, we are buying a house. I joke that I spent all of DH's money (with his help, of course). He started last year with $0 money in debt. Now we're going to be $260K in debt with three wonderful kids. It's been a heck of a year. Oh, and we're supposed to get a dog to go with the 2 cats, 10 fish, twinfants and 7 yr old. We're six months into our marriage, I can only hope that it slows down at some point. Hope y'all found this entertaining.

Enjoy the ride..... I think once you have 3 kids, things are never the "same". I like the new chaos though. My kids are a similar space to yours. My oldest son turned 6 years, 5 days after the twins were born. We were living in the same 3 br house we built 2 years after being married.
Last summer we finally got brave and went for it. Sold the house, built a new one, and bought into an equipment business.
I'm pretty sure we wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have some kind of chaos.
I had quit my job to stay home with my son 2 years before getting pg with the twins. I was sure I had it made..... staying home with 1, he went to school. I guess God has a sense of humor. I look at my kids every day & think how lucky I am to have this mess!!
