I am traveling from NH to California for a week in May...(you guys are going to be sick of me between now and then haha).

My boys are great sleepers! I am shipping out packnplays to my sisters because they are still in cribs and I don't want to deal with any transition issues.

So any suggestions on what I do about sleep? Should I just go with the flow??
    Thanks!

We did a similar trip last Christmas. We flew into CA around 6pm (PST), and even though it was 9pm, I fed them dinner and kept them up until around 8pm (PST). It wasn't too terrible because of the excitement seeing family and playing with cousins. It also helped that they napped on the plane. Then the next day, somehow we got them to sleep until 6am (PST) and we just stayed on local time for our trip. GL!!!

Go with the flow. Kids are more resilient about time changes than you'd think (at least, I was pleasantly surprised). We have never done a major time change, but we've switched 2 hours back and forth (Colorado to East Coast) several times and they generally do fine with it. Try to keep them up a little later (i.e., closer to local time) the first day and see how they do, but be prepared to put them to bed "early" (closer to home time) if they are really losing it. By the second day, or at least the third, they'll probably be adjusted.

Ditto that, we do a 2 hr time change every summer and my kids do excellent. I keep them up as close to their normal bedtime as i can, and sometimes they'll still get up too early the next morning, but within a couple of days they have totally adjusted to the "new" times :)

These are no major time changes, so you just stick to your regular schedule as much as possible in terms of wake up time, bed time and naps, and be slightly flexible when needed, depending on flight times, etc. Should take 1-2 nights no more.
