How to babyproof front of LCD TV?

We have a 37 inch LCD TV on our entertainment center in the living room and it sits pretty low off the floor (about 16"). And now that the boys pull up on to everything they love to put their hands all over the LCD screen, especially when a baby dvd is playing. I know they make TV protectors like this one and this one, but they are only like 6 inches high. So they protect the TV controls but not the tv screen. Did anybody else have this dilemma and if so how did you handle it? Currently we have moved one of their infant-to-toddler rockers in front of the tv as a barrier, but its not that sturdy so sometimes when they pull up on the rocker it falls back over on them on our hardwood floors :( TIA for any suggestions!

I know it seems extreme, but we put our tv on the wall, ran the wires through the wall, and attached several pieces of a 3-in-1 metal superyard to the walls on either side of the tv stand. Our TV isn't really anything special, it was just for their safety and our sanity, as the top of the tv stand was about eye level with them at the time.

We put our tvs on the wall as well so I'm of no help. We have a local company that does babyproofing, maybe check your phonebook? Gl!

These are made for LCD & Plasma tv's. They are fairly expensive but do the job.

    Here is another one.

That is one of the downsides to owning an lcd or plasma tv with toddlers.

Yeah, we put ours downstairs in the finished basement! :p

Mounting it on the wall is the only thing I can think of to keep it out of their reach.

Ours is sitting on top of our entertainment center. Even now I wouldn't have it sitting where my girls could touch it...way too expensive to have them touch it or throw a toy into it and crack it.

We also have a flat screen that sits on a TV stand and is accessible to the boys. We were able to use this as a way to keep them from getting to it. It works for now as they haven't figured out how to move it or climb it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes up a lot of room in our living area and they can still reach the sides of the tv from the way we have things set up right now. Eventually we may have to hang it on the wall but I really don't want to so we'll see. Good luck!

We gated off the entire TV/Game Console/Cable Box area along with the fireplace. KidCo makes a product called "Configure Gate" that has really worked well in many areas of our home. It gets expensive but given our safety issues (along with the temperment of the kids) it has been well worth it to me.
