I am soooo tired. This week there have been a couple of days I've been fine, but a few days this week, I've been exhausted....like very sleepy exhausted. I don't remember being this tired with the twins. I had a full time job then, outside of the home, and now I stay home with them and work in the home on a very flexible schedule. I would just expect myself to have more energy...and I'm only about 6 weeks pregnant. I hope this phase passes quickly...how tired were the rest of you early in this pregnancy compared to your twins or previous children?

Being pregnant with twins totally wiped me out the first trimester. I went to the midwife for my first prenatal visit at 9 weeks, and remember telling her, "This pregnancy is kicking my fanny. I'll get 9 hours of sleep at night and between 1 and 2pm I literally fall asleep wherever I am. I can't keep my eyes open to save me." I worked from home at the time, luckily. They did an u/s and found out it was twins. She said, "And that is why you're so tired."

I get kind of worn out a little more now, I think. But I'm also 37, and started out a little heavier than I did with twins. I think those things contribute to it... though I've only gained 13 lbs total now at 39 weeks. It's a different kind of tired, though.

I was more tired with this pregnancy (my singleton) comapred to my twin pregnancy. The first tri was soooo exhausting. I figured that in my twin pregnancy I didn't have any other little ones to care for, so when I was home from work I would sleep if I wanted too!! Eventually I ended up on bedrest due to PTL and I took a 2-3 hour nap every day!! I am less tired now in my second tri though! Keep hanging in there!

So do you know if you are just having one? I wasn't nearly as tired this pregnancy as with the twins, but my morning sickness was way worse.

I go to the doctor on Tuesday, so I'm not 100% sure how many are in there, ha. I had really bad morning sickness with the twins starting at 8 weeks, and I'm only about 6 weeks now...I thought I was going to be sick this morning, so I feel like its going to kick in overdrive soon. I just don't remember being this tired before...and I am only 24 now...I weigh the same as I did when I got pregnant with my girls, so I don't know...maybe it is just having two little ones...but I honestly don't think they are that much trouble at the age they are now. I was working a 55-60 hour a week job from the time I found out I was having them to about 16 weeks, and I just didn't have this kind of fatigue. Anyway...sorry to ramble on. :)

I've been really tired too with this pregnancy and I didn't have a problem with the twins.
It seemed like with the twins I actually had more energy! Hopefully in the 2nd trimester it will be better :)

    Take Care!

I don't remember with the twins-but I was working FT as a preschool teacher-so I was probably exhausted! LOL!

What I DO remember with this pregnancy-was going to bed at 8:30/9pm-BEFORE I found out I was even pregnant. I generally go to bed between 10-11pm. So it was odd. AND-it never dawned on me! LOL!

It didn't last long. I just try to rest/nap/relax while they are napping as well. That helps. If I do not/can not-I certainly can feel it by the end of the day.

I was just telling DH that i feel like all i do is complain
but when pregnant with the twins...
i had no kids at home to take care of.
could take a nap when ever i wanted to
Hubby would rub my back and feet every night.
and the list goes on and on LOL
now i am very busy with the twins and picking them up makes my back kill at the end of the day.
    i totally feel you.

I have no good advice but im about to post a s/o topic entitled " how long did you feel awful" lol
I had a great pregnancy with the twins, felt fab! this one I feel miserable 24/7 Im tired, Im nauseated.
I agree with PP with the twins I didnt have any older children to care for like I do now-- I especially didnt have to worry about dealing with morning sickness and changing poopy diapers!

On one hand, I think I shouldn't complain since we are at least out of the poopy diaper stage, ha...but on the other hand...we cut out naps a loooong time ago, which means no naps for me.
