    Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked 100 times, but how soon did you find out the sexes of your twins...and did it "change" at a later u/s? I have my first peri appointment in a week (I'll be 16 weeks) and was wondering if they'll be able to tell already?

    Thanks in advance!

I didn't even know I was carrying twins until 19w. The following week I found out the sexes and they did stay the same throughout the pregnancy.

I was also right at 19 weeks...the sex never changed, however, she wasn't 100% sure that one of them was a girl. She just kept saying, "I'm pretty sure they are both girls, but one is questionable." And we never could get a better look after that appt.

17 weeks for my son and we thought baby b was a girl, but at 21 weeks she was definitely a girl and he was definitely a boy. They weren't wrong at all with any of my children

At 12 weeks for my nuchal scan, the tech said she was 80% sure they were boys
At 16 weeks I went for a followup to check on a hemotoma and the tech said definitely boys.
My DH was still not convinced, but I had a cervical check on Monday at 18 weeks and the tech showed him the boy parts. Once she pointed them out, it's pretty obvious that these are definitely boys.

    Hi!
I have heard of some people finding out early, but I think it depends on the skill of the person performing the u/s, and how well the babies are cooperating. I found out I was having girls at 19 weeks, and it never changed!

    Good Luck at your appointment!

This is almost exactly how it was for me.. at least the timing of it... and i had a hard time beliveing it at 16wks but DH was convinced :D

At 14 weeks, we knew we had one boy...but my other would not cooperate. It was at the 20 week that we were able to determine that they were both boys and that's what I had (we even had another u/s in between these and still couldn't tell because he wouldn't give a good view).

I was 18 weeks when I found out that they were both boys and they were!! I am a songrapher ( do ultrasounds for a living) and you can find out anywhere from 16+ weeks. the best time is 18 weeks, and something it is more difficult after 20+ weeks due to the size of the baby being to big and they tend to curl up more after 20 weeks...limited space I guess!! :). Good luck!!! l

Well with the twins, my first ultrasound was at around 17wks?? and that was also when I found out I was having twins, and I found out their genders as well..and it never changed.

I found out the sexes of my twins at 14 weeks (two boys) and as of my last ultrasound at 22 weeks, that didn't change! They are positive they are both boys!

I found out at 12w6d. my peri said she was pretty sure one boy one girl and at 19 weeks it was confirmed. With my fist son I found out at 16 weeks.

I was 20 weeks also. And that is the most definate sonogram, the others before were so uncertain.

Like indisbelief the sonographer was pretty sure at 15 weeks they were boys. But as they are identical she was really quite certain because she saw evidence on both. At 20 weeks, again, the sonogrpaher saw evidence on both. I'm confident enough to start buying blue and green!

Can the ultrasounds at the peri be more accurate or does it just depend? Bc I'm going tomorrow and I really want to find out!!

I was told at 16w they were 90% sure both were boys. At 20w one 100% boy and a "not sure" on the other. At 24w one 100% still boy and one "maybe" girl. At 28 weeks still one 100% boy and "pretty sure" other babe is a girl. My mystery baby STILL wont give us a good look at the goods. They are definitely leaning toward girl, but I don't think we'll know for sure until she/he arrives!

We thought we were going to have to wait until the 20 week US, but at the 16/17 week US we got lucky. Both babies basically went bum up on the wand and we got perfect views of the naughty bits. The tech said there was absolutely no question on the sexes so we're getting one of each.

I posted ultrasound pics on my website (you can find the url on my profile page).

We found out Lily's sex at 15 weeks. We confirmed Lily and saw Amelia's "flower" at 17 weeks. I remember the u/s lady telling me "you have two beautiful flowers"

at 16w the sonographer couldn't get a look - she did try though...at 21w it was b/g and thats what I have - by 21 weeks the parts were really easy to see!

at 13 week NT scan, the doctor guessed G/G twins, 17week gender scan confirmed it. Will have anomely scan at 20wks, but we are pretty sure they are mono/di girls. :)
