Out of all my pregnancies, this is very new to me...I've NEVER been this sick!!! I can't do this much longer and I have a LONG time to go!!! I keep reading it usually lets up around 14 weeks? Is that true? I don't think I can do another 7 weeks of this! I know I don't really have a choice... It's getting in my way! I had to call in to work this morning. I'm not puking...I've never thrown up in my life. BUT I feel like I'm majorly sea sick ALL DAY! I can't eat and I'm soooooo stinkin lightheaded! AND so TIRED. I've been sleeping on my breaks and lunches. I tried the small meals and crackers and all the rest of the stuff, but my body is stubborn. My limbs feel like they are 500 lbs and at night I get really sweaty and clammy. I go to the doctor Tuesday. She's gonna have to figure out something...

How sick did you guys get and when did it let up?

With Hannah I was puking as soon as the pee dried on the stick I think....I literally puked everyday until around 30wks it went to about 4-5x a week, down to 3 and then back up to EVERYDAY! I puked the very morning I had her!!!!!! Luckily for me it was puking in the morning and then I felt fine but I would say until the 14-15th week is when the constant nausea and I could eat again went away. Have you ever just tried making yourself puke to see if you would feel better? On the really bad days I would finally just give up and go in the bathroom and stick my finger down my throat...it actually made me feel better!!
Good luck! Hope the Dr can bring you some relief!

i'm not feeling too bad yet - although, i do find myself feeling mildly nauseous most of the day. even though the small meals don't necessarily help with the nausea you should still try & keep it up - it will help keep your blood sugar stable (low blood sugar is probably causing the light headedness) which will at least not exacerbate the situation. if you can, try to eat things with protein in them (a slice of cheese, minigo, etc). also, if you can stomach anything with ginger (ginger ale, ginger tea), that may help. ginger has natural anti-nausea properties.

they do say that it usually lets up around 14 weeks because that's usually when your hormones start to level out a bit. but for some women, morning sickness can last for most of the pregnancy. i hope your doc has some good suggestions for you!

I was horribly sick with both of my pregnancies. For me I was well into the second trimester before I felt good again. I really hated being pregnant because of how sick I was and the length of time it lasted...it was a real bummer and really affected my ability to do what needed to be done.

I have been really sick also and wasn't last time. I asked for Zofran and it has helped. I don't feel great but more able to function. Ask for it, i didn't even go in just called and asked them to call it in.

Skip my post if you want good news... :) This pregnancy has been terrible for me. I was so sick in the beginning that I lost 14 lbs. in one week, was hospitalized for 3 days for severe dehydration (after going to the ER three times in 5 days) and then put on IVs for 2 months. Finally started feeling better around 18 weeks, but still to this day take Zofran twice per day. My twin pregnancy was the typical first trimester of morning sickness and then I felt great the rest of the pregnancy. This singleton pregnancy has been anything but easy. I really hope things turn back to normal once he arrives!

I think everyone is different. But I have heard many times that 14 weeks seems to be around the magic time. Hopefully you will start to feel better sooner. Hang in there!

I was sick but not as bad as the twins. I got medication and it helped some. It went away with the second trimester. I hope you get some relief. Oh see if you can buy "lemon oil" or cut up some lemons and smell them or suck on them. The lemon oil is great to have in your purse if you are in the car or out somewhere it was GREAT. Coke also helped me, just some sips of it. Peppermint tea ? find what works for you.
