    Kiera or Keira?

Depends on how you want it pronounced I guess.

    Kiera...Key-er-ah?

    Keira...Ker-ah?

    I like them both

Agreed - I read the first one as Key-err-ah and the second as Keer-ah. I like the prononciation of the second one a little better since it's a little easier to say, but both or very pretty.

I think that thanks to the popularity of Ms. Knightley, "Keira" is the way most people would spell it automatically.

But how about omitting the "e" altogether?

I want to pronounce it keer-ah but I am confused by the whole i before e thing, it should be ie right? but popular spelling is ei.
I just don't want her to have a hard time correcting people all the time like I have!! My name is Alisa pronounced Ah-lees-ah. People ALWAYS call me Ah-liss-ah. I don't even correct people anymore!!

Saying it Keer-ah and spelling it Keira is almost a german type thing to do... I don't know much german...but I do know that in many words when there are double vowels it's the second vowel that you pronounce, not the first... So Keira would indeed be said like Kira.... versus Kiera...which I would want to say Key-er-ah. or in a german way, Kera...

Ok, I would call you Ah-lees-ah based on the pronunciation.

I wouldn't be too concerned with the i before e thing with the name. Names defy reason alot of times. LOL! But seriously, you pronounce "Their" sort of like "Theer", right? So, "Keira" would be right for "Keer-ah", imo. I would never look at the name Keira and say Key-er-ah but I guess maybe there are people who would. Just like their are people who say A-liss-a instead of the correct pronunciation.

What about Kyra? Kira? If you are doing the german thing the second vowel is the sound, so it would be Kiera. Keira would be pronounce like TieRah. But when I look at both spellings they both look like they would be pronounced KeerRah. I'm really not helping, am I? Sorry.

OK, funnily enough here we call Keira Knightley with an ai sound insted of an ee sound, as in "either" (ok I realize in the states either is also read eether...). Well the sounds is that of tie (tai), well kai-ra...
I really like that name and I do not think Kiera looks as pretty!
