My LO's can finally sit through the whole thing and they love it. I usually let them watch once every other day or so.

We're going with the no TV 'til their two rule here...so no baby einstein videos. We do use some of the baby einstein books and CDs, though :)

They watched it everyday while I was cooking dinner. It was their fussy time, and it kept them entertained while I got dinner cooked.

Up until the last 2-3 months, they usually watched it every day while I was cleaning, cooking, etc. Now that their more mobile, they can really careless to sit through the whole thing, but sometimes I'll pop the dvd in, and turn the tv off, so that they can still hear the music :)

When I say they 'watched' I mean it was on, and they played, watched, played, watched....rarely did they sit there and watch the whole thing.

Same here. They only pay attention for about 10 mins and they have it on in the background.

I make sure their tummies get about 20 mins of rest after they eat [to minimize vomiting - which they like to do]. One goes in an excersaucer and the other in the bouncy. Both with lots of toys and on goes the video. They usually watch it, play with the toys AND watch it, or just talk back and forth to eachother [makes noises to each other rather ;)].

Then I let them play on the floor together, switching it up from belly to [supervised] sitting up play. They still tumble over sometimes.

I don't have those videos but I do have the "Baby faith " videos. They are for birth to 24 months and my LO's love them. They guarentee your babies will watch it or your money back. They are the stories of the bible. God made Me, God made music, etc. I do let mine watch them in the mornings while Im making their bottles. They will get so excited and babble while they watch it. You can get them from www.babyfaith.com or a nearby christian bookstore if your interested.

My kids watched them sitting in their papasan chairs while I was giving the other a bath (every other day) for a couple of months (starting at about 7 months or so). Once they started crawling, there was no way they would sit still and watch it. They are too busy doing other things. They really don't even look at the TV while they are playing. So they haven't watched any in about the past 4 months.

It varies here. Some weeks it seems like they watch a baby einstein every day. Then we'll go for a couple of weeks with no baby einstein. It just depends on how well they are playing together and how good I am feeling - I am more likely to put on Baby Einstein when I'm not feeling well or don't feel like moving around much.

No TV here. Never felt the need for it, and I think they learn more from interactions/toys.

Mine don't pay much attention to them but I like the fact that they are introduced to music and when they were younger (before being mobile) Baby Einstein would occupy them while they sat in their swings and I got stuff done.

Everyday! They love them. They've been watching them since they were 3 months old. Now that they are rolling everywhere but not quite crawling, they wear themselves out and get real frustrated on the floor. They like to sit in their bouncy seats and chill. It's great when they are fussy. I vary them up. I must have 15 of the DVDs. I found a lady on CL selling hers.

FWIW Both my older boys watched them on video way back when you called Julie Clark herself and ordered them. My 4th grader reads at a 12th grade level so I don't think they rotted his brain too much. ;)

They don't watch them every day, but when they do it is usually in the evening just before DH gets home when they are fussy and I need to accomplish something i.e. dinner, laundry, cleaning, shower, etc.

Abby loves Baby Einstein. She will sit in her bouncy seat and watch it all day if I let her. Ellie could care less about it. I usually put it on every night around 6pm, which is our meltdown time. There have been days where they've watched it over and over and days they don't watch it at all. I'm not worried about them watching tv. We all did and turned out ok.

Baby Einstein sort of freaks me out, sorry :( We actually don't have any Baby Einstein stuff.

Just to add; we are not anti-tv people. As another poster said, hey we all watched it. I'll never be anti-tv. I would
rather have well rounded kids who read, paint, play outside, and watch a little tv (hello, Sat. morning cartoons was
such a cool thing for us--we got the good cereal that morning, aka fruity pebbles) rather than the kids who are
addicted to tv or the weirdo never seen tv kids.

I've tried showing them Baby Einstein, but they don't seem interested. They like Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. Those songs really catch their attention. They also like Handy Manny. I do try to get them more interested in baby Einstein, but once they turn 1, off goes the TV when they play. Before that, it's just noise and colors. They do watch it though, but they also like to play and once they play with their toys, they don't get distracted by the TV unless those shows are on and they are playing the tunes like "Think Think Think", "Hot Dog Song", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", and the two songs from Handy Manny, "Hop On, Jump In", and the song they sing when they are working. It's not on all the time. Sometimes I'm watching my shows and they have no interest in those shows and will play with their own stuff.

Mine rather watch the news/regular tv..than those videos :)
I noticed that while I change them or have them on my bed they look at the tv and are entratained and relaxed...while
with the einstein videos they laugh for about 10 min...and then start to cry :-(
